– 212– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda– Rama and Lakshman’s tour to the city of Mithila
Maharishi Vishwamithra spoke affectionately
“Oh! Dear Children, you are the bliss personified, have a pleasant journey
through the city and come back, let the people of Mithila achieve the benefit the
auspicious and most charming appearance of both of you and remain blessed.” The
two brothers prostrated before the Sage and set out their journey to the city
of Mithila, seeing the two-charming youth with great effulgence walking on the
pathways, many children accompanied them, kept looking at the beauty of Rama
and Lakshmana in awe. The Supreme Lord Rama who has a dark blue complexion,
attractive physique, charming face, ears adorned in magnificent earring, wide
and long eyes resembled blue lotus flower petals, conch shaped neck, strong
shoulder, wide chest adorned in various pearl ornaments, armlet, Kankan, waist
ornament, wielded in bow and arrow, attired in marvelous yellow silk garment,
and a blue robe draped on the waist was walking along with Lakshman who has
fair complexion, attractive limbs, great stature, adorned in ornaments, and
wielded in bow and arrow. The compassionate grace of that Lord is capable to
remove the Thribidha Thapa/Adhidheivik, Adhibhauthik, and Adhyathmik of the
Jeeva, the two brothers were beautifully smeared in vermilion and sandalwood
paste on their lustrous forehead, the onlookers were assembled in huge numbers
to watch the mesmerizing beauty of these two youths.
