Bala Kanda– Rama and Lakshmana were led by a large group of children to witness the grand preparations of Dhanur Yajja
Sage Yajjavalkya speaks “Oh! Mune, the two
charming princes followed by a huge crowd of people of Mithila drenched in
supreme bliss, the deities, and celestials showered flowers on the princes. The
children gathered around Rama and Lakshman led them to the eastern quarter of
the city where a grand arrangement for the Dhanush Yajja was taken place, a magnificent
altar was erected in the middle of the hall, decorated with stunning artworks,
gems, and gold. The long pathways led to this alter was spectacular, the four
sides of the alter were decked with grand seating arrangements for the guests
and audience of different ranks to occupy a large number of people to witness
the Dhanuryajja. There were spacious galleries erected for the common people,
with comfortable seating arrangements, separately for the women folks. The
children took Rama and Lakshman to witness the grand arrangements made for
Dhanush Yaga was reverentially described the plan of actions in detail to
them.”
