Sage Yajjavalkya speaks “ Oh! Mune, Jagathjanani Devi Sita who was accompanied by female deities in disguise, followed by lovely women/Suvasini from the royal family, holding Mangaladhrayas in large trays, accompanied her to the dais. The bride was decorated with the eighteen types of embellishment, has the gait of an elephant, gracefully moved to the center stage, soon the Sages and Rishis got out of meditation, the sounds of Cuckoos silenced in a shy, the auspicious songs of the women were continued, the jingling sounds of the bells adorned in anklets, girdle, bangles were echoed in the air. Devi Sita who is the epitome of beauty shone brilliantly in the middle of the group of lovely women, which was beyond description. The huge family members of the groom witnessed the splendor of Devi Sita who is the storehouse of virtue, fortune, beauty, and bliss, everyone praised her loveliness and greeted her in their hearts. The very sight of the loveliness of Devi Sita aroused desires in the heart of Rama. King Dhasharatha and their four sons immersed in supreme delight, watching the beauty of the bride, the joy of their hearts was beyond description. The deities showered flowers, the Sages and twice-born uttered sacred texts showering benedictions on the bride. The lovely women melodious sang matching to the tune of drums, pipes, etc. the crowd immersed in supreme bliss. The moment Jagathjanani entered the pavilion, the recitation of Vedic chants reverberated in the air, Sage Vashishta, preceptor of King Dhasharatha and Sage Shathanandha, preceptor of King Janaka meticulously performed all the customary rites, and the rites prescribed in the Veda.”

Sage Yajjavalkya speaks “Oh! Mune, it was one of the most propitious moments of extreme delight, hence no one remembered each other’s details, all the eyes were on the Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam Lord Rama, who is bliss personified, the whole atmosphere was diffused in extreme bliss. The deities in the guise of twice-born mentally offered prayers to Lord Rama and occupied their respective seats in great enthusiasm. All the eyes set on the loveliness of Rama were drinking the beauty, and the pleasantness of Paramathma at their heart’s content, like the Chakora birds, takes pleasure of the full moon rays. Finally, the auspicious moment has arrived, Sage Vashishta summoned Sage Shathanandha with great honor and informed him to bring the bride to the dais. Devi Sunayana was highly pleased to hear the message of the Sage, she invited twice-born, and the elderly women of the family to perform the wedding rites, including the female deities who have assumed the form of lovely women was beyond description. They melodiously sang various songs, none of them could recognize them as female deities, all the eyes were set on the beautiful women/Devi Sachi, Devi Rama, Devi Sarada, and Devi Bhavani. Queen Sunayana repeatedly honored them and praised their virtues and beauty, without knowing their real identities. These female deities decorated Jagathjanani, Paramba, Bhagavathi Devi Sita in the finest garments, brought her in a marvelous bridal attire, adorned in beautiful flowers on hair and chest, and ornaments all over the body, smeared Mangaladhravya and rich fragrance on her lovely limbs, and they stood as a circle around the bride and brought her to the pavilion.”

The grandeur of the majestic wedding Hall stole the hearts of sages and Rishis, further King Janaka welcomed all the prominent Sages, twice-born and ministers, and led them to their respective throne arranged in a stylish manner. Janaka worshiped Sage Vashishta, the preceptor of King Dhasharatha with utmost reverence, and received blessings from the Sage, next the King passionately moved to Kaushika, and worshiped the Sage with utmost devotion and sought his blessings as well. Janaka worshiped Sage Vamadeva who is the royal priest of King Dhasharatha, and Rishis in an appropriate manner offered them a marvelous throne and received their blessings. King Janaka moved towards King Dhasharatha, and profusely eulogized his glories and nobleness as Lord Shiva, and gracefully revealed his delight to be united with the illustrious clan of Raghus, and kept praising the King of Ayodhya folding his palms together. King Janaka received all the members of King Dhasharatha’s assembly, twice-born, ministers, Sage and Rishis in an appropriate manner and led them to the decorative throne arranged for them. How did I describe the warmth shared by the royal family, and the twice-born, sages and the people assembled with one tongue? Janaka honored all those members of King Dhasharatha with his sweet conversation and gifts. Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva, Ashtadhikpalakas, Surya, and deities knew the splendor of Lord Hari who is incarnated as Rama, hence all of them disguised as twice-born and assembled on the dais to witness the divine wedding. Though King Janaka was not aware of the deities disguised as twice-born, received all of them with great honor and led them to decorative thrones to be seated.

Sage Yajjavalkya speaks “Oh! Mune, Lord Rama was taken a sanctified seat already arranged on the dais, women attired in finest garments, adorned in several ornaments, holding a tray full of Mangaladhraya and earthen lamps removed the evil eyes on Rama, they sang melodiously and the whole crowd rejoiced at the loveliness of Rama. Lord Bhrama and deities disguised as twice-born took great pleasure in the merriment, they gazed at the Sacchidhanandaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam who is the delight of lotus like Raghu clan, attired in groom’s garments, attractive dark cloud limbs beautifully adorned in various ornaments, such as  crown, armlets, girdle, upper clothes covered the broad chest, revealing half of the strong shoulders, conch shaped neck adorned in gem and pearl decorated ornaments, sacred thread across the chest, etc. thus, the deities achieved the fruitfulness of their lives. Further the attendants, royal performers, and dancers bowed heads before Rama and received his blessings. All the customary rites were performed according to the two illustrious clan, following the rites prescribed on the Veda. King Janaka and King Dhasharatha embraced each other with great love, the poets assembled failed to describe the devotion and love shared between these two monarchs, the deities surprised to witness the mutual respect and loved shared by these two illustrious monarchs, showered flowers in extreme joy, and sang melodiously praising the glories of the Kings, and eulogized “Ever since the creation of Bhrama has begun, this is the one and only grand celestial wedding we are witnessing, although we have heard of several celestial weddings, but the grandeur of wedding ceremony organized by the bride and groom parties is well-balanced, in an appropriate manner.” These words were echoed in the heaven brought extreme bliss to all, King Dhasharatha led by King Janaka walked through the majestic carpeted pathways to the pavilion with all respects and offered water to wash hands.”

The female deities assembled as members of the royal family approached the Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parmabhramam with the trays full of auspicious ingredients/Mangaladhravya, and lightened lamps to remove evil eyes on that Paramathma, the sounds of divine musical instruments reverberated in the sky, the deities showered flowers, the women assembled behold the loveliness of that Paramathma Parambhramam incarnated as Rama, tears overflown through their beautiful eyes resembled lotus flower petals in extreme joy, and transported them to a world of ecstasy. The joy of Queen Sunayana watching the mesmerizing beauty of Lord Rama in the groom’s attire was beyond the description even for Devi Sarada and Lord Adhishesha in hundreds of Kalpa. Devi Sunayana felt it is inauspicious to shed tears on the propitious moment, she dutifully removed the evil eyes from the groom, waving the earthen lamps around him in clock and anti-clockwise, and followed all the customary rites and the rites prescribed in the Veda. There were five types of divine musical instruments echoed in the air, Devi Sunayana offered water to Rama for washing hands, and proceeded to the pavilion. The majestic appearance of King Dasaratha excelled at the Emperors of the three worlds.



The deities showered flowers, the large group of twice-born recited the Vedic chants meticulously, brought all new vibrations in the air, the sounds of musical instruments reverberated in the Earth and heaven as well, hence the people couldn’t converse each other.  Rama after washing hands, was followed by ceremonial priests, and a sanctified seat was offered by the royal priests to the groom in the large wedding Hall.

The wedding hall merged in extreme delight, the sounds of divine instruments reverberated in the sky, the deities showered flowers, rejoiced, and cheered “Victory to Raghu clan! Victory to the Raghu clan! Victory to Raghu clan and Victory to the jewel of Raghu’s race!” the sounds of kettle drums, pipes, clarinet were echoed, while Rama and the whole wedding procession were about to enter the magnificent wedding hall. Queen Sunayana, the mother of Devi Sita summoned all the Suvasinis in the family to collect auspicious ingredients, they have lightened a large number of beautiful earthen lamps and made all preparations to receive the groom to the wedding Hall. A large group of beautiful women attired in magnificent clothes, adorned in stunning pieces of jewelry, holding the tray full of auspicious ingredients, and lightened lamps, received the groom into the Hall. Those women have the face lustrous as the moon, beautiful eyes have the resemblance of the antelopes, excelled the beauty of Devi Rati, attired in majestic garments, attractive limbs adorned in exquisite ornaments, sang beautifully resembled the sounds of Cuckoos. These beautiful women have the gait of elephants, gracefully approached the groom, following the sounds of jingling sounds of bells from the anklets, and waist ornaments. The beautiful music echoed in the air; the people assembled experienced as if in heaven.  Devi Sachi of Lord Indra’s consort, Goddess Sharada, Goddess Rama, Goddess Bhavani, and all the female deities, assumed the form of lovely women and assembled on the dais where the royal families were taken seats, and they beautifully sang along with the other women in the wedding hall, but none could recognize them as female deities.

The beautiful horse on which Rama strode to the wedding hall was decorated with the heavy ornaments of gems and pearls, resembled the cupid has assumed the form of a lovely horse for Rama, the people mesmerized at the young, vigor, the beauty of the horse decorated with the finest ornaments on its body, tinkling bells around its neck, stunning bridle, dazed the hearts of the people, deities, and sages. The horse was moving according to the will of the Sacchidhanandaswaroopa Paramathma who was taken a seat on it, the loveliness of the horse resembled the scattered clouds, giving way to the twinkling stars, which arouse the emotions in the peacock and compel them to dance beautifully spreading its feathers. Devi Sarada who is  excellence in speech was unable to describe the moment, Lord Shankara who have five faces that holds three eyes on each, beholden the beauty of that supreme Lord and eulogized the loveliness of Rama. Lord Sri Hari fondly gazed at the loveliness of Rama, and the four-faced Lord Bhrama behold the beauty of Rama and felt his eight eyes are not enough to engulf the loveliness of Rama. The chief of the warrior of deities, the six-faced Lord Karthikeya felt his twelve eyes are insufficient to swarm the beauty of Rama. Lord Indra who has possessed thousands of eyes, felt the curse of the sage Gautama as a blessing on this occasion, and all the deities envied viewing the delight of Lord Indra/Purandhara. All the deities and celestials arrived to witness the loveliness of Rama immersed in supreme bliss, same as the monarchs in the grand wedding hall.

The slayer of demon Tripura, Lord Shambhu, and Goddess Bhavani behold the loveliness of Rama and Sita, their bodily hairs stood upright, eyes welled-up in tears of devotion. They kept looking at the beauty of the divine pair from head to toe. The attractive dark cloud complexioned limbs of Rama, attired in magnificent silk garment resembled the lightning, he was adorned in various precious ornaments all over the body, his face has the luster of the autumn moon, his beautiful dark blue eyes stretched to ears put shame to blue lotus flower petals. The elegance of the groom was beyond description, capable to capture the minds of everyone. Lord Rama was accompanied by his three brothers who were equally attractive attired in marvelous garments, followed by charming princes on their beautiful horses, and the family members sing auspicious songs praising the glories of Raghu’s on this occasion. The King of birds, Garuda blushed watching the speed of the horses that the four brothers were mounted, resembled the cupid has assumed the form of beautiful horses.

Lord Shambhu who is the slayer of Kamadeva, cautioned the deities assembled “let us not get lost in the splendor or its wonders, and take great pleasure in the divine wedding of Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam Lord Sri Ramachandra who is the Lord of Raghu's with the Jagathjanani Goddess Mahalakshmi incarnated as Devi Sita. The mere utterance of their sacred name ‘Sita Ram’ would destroy the sufferings and grief of worldly existence, and provides liberation of Karya, Karana, Sookshma and Sthoola Shareera.” Thus, Lord Shambhu advised the deities and set on his celestial bull, the deities witnessed King Dhasharatha along with his preceptors accompanied by the huge number of twice-born, Rishis, Sages, etc. marching towards the grand wedding hall. The deities took notice of the marvelous scene, with extreme joy, their bodily hairs stood upright, raptured in extreme merriment. King Dhashartha along with his four sons, Rama, Lakshman, Bharatha and Shathrughna resembled Dharma, Arththa, Kama, and Moksha majestically moved through the stunning pathways to the wedding Hall.

Lord Bhrama and deities eulogized the glories and fortune of King Dhasharatha for achieving the Sacchidhanandha Swaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam as four sons symbolizes Dharma, Arththa, Kama, and Moksha. The deities witnessed the ocean of bliss, impatiently waited for an auspicious moment for the Universe to be held very soon, the union of Jagathjanani Paramba Bhagavathi Devi Sita with the Paramathma Parambhramam Lord Rama, the deities showered flowers in joy, there were loud sounds of divine instruments reverberated in the sky. Lord Bhrama, Vishnu, Shiva, and deities in extreme delight and thrill mounted on their celestial vehicles and arrived to witness the propitious wedding rites of Rama with Devi Sita. The deities astonished watching the spectacular arrangements and the glories city of Mithila, and experienced their abodes are inferior to its grandeurs, they keenly observed the exquisite beauty of the pavilion, grand wedding hall, etc. in utter amazement. The most auspicious hour for the wedding has arrived, it was the moment the cows returned at the time of sunset after grazing a long day in the greensscattering dust all over with its hooves that were considered as a propitious hour.  A group of twice-born met King Janaka to inform the arrival of the auspicious hour of the wedding rites. Soon, King Janaka approached the family priest Sage Shathanandha, who called out for ministers to bring the procured Mangaladhravya in large quantities for the performance of Vedic rites, as the initial rites began there was the loud noise of conches, drums, and tabors reverberated. A large quantity of Mangaladhravya, such as Kushagrass, turmeric, curd, vermilion, unbroken yellow rice, were brought to the scene. The Suvasinis/ladies who have husbands alive, attired in marvelous clothes, adorned in ornaments, vermilion, turmeric, and flowers on their hairs, gracefully sang songs, the whole atmosphere of the grand wedding hall reverberated with the sounds of Vedic chants. A group of prominent members of the assembly of King Janaka along with the group of twice-born approached the groom’s party in the grand fortress where they have settled on the previous day. The bride’s party was cordially invited the groom’s party to attend the wedding procedures, the bride’s party highly praised King Dhasharatha excelled the glories of Lord India. King Dhasharatha performed the initial rites of the wedding ceremony, at the guidance of family priest Sage Vashishta, along with the large group of twice-born, Sages, Rishis, further they have followed with the sounds of divine musical instruments moved towards the grand wedding hall.

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “The glories of the Kingdom of Ayodhya and Mithila are exemplary, cannot be described in words, are the ocean of virtues, courage, valor, wisdom, beauty, affluence and amiability, hence poets and wise men are incompetent put them into words. The beggars while seeking alms sincerely prayed, and the women while pouring gifts prayed “Oh! Almighty Lord, let the four charming sons of King Dhasharatha find appropriate brides in the city of Mithila so that we can celebrate all our lives.”

 

The damsels, with the tears of joy, bodily hairs stood upright, sincerely prayed collectively “Oh! Dear friends, the supreme Lord Shambhu is too compassionate and kind to his devotees, the two Kings are fervent devotees of Lord Shambhu who is the slayer of demons of Tripura, hence they would get fulfilled their desires indefinitely.”

 

The people of the Mithila and damsels sincerely poured prayers, drenched in immense joy. The princes who made a visit to witness the enthralling beauty of these four youths from Ayodhya highly praised their virtues, wisdom, valor, and kindness and returned to their countries. That day passed in extreme delight for the groom and brides’ people, finally the auspicious day of the wedding has arrived, on the month of Margashirsha, was the beginning of the cold season. Lord Bhrama prescribed the propitious day, Thithi, hours, the conjunction of stars, nature of planets, etc. for the celestial wedding of Rama and Sita, and delivered through Maharishi Narada, were same as the royal astrologer of King Janaka mentioned in his predictions, the people were rejoiced listening to the auspicious hours of the wedding and praised the royal astrologers are none other than the creator itself.

Dear ladies, after the wedding of the pair, King Janaka will invite his daughter and son-in-law very often to the city of Mithila, hence we could get a glimpse of the two charming brothers who excels the appearance of Kamadeva as well.  King Janaka is too gracious, there will be several ceremonial rites in the coming days, and who will get tired of extravagant hospitality of fathers-in-law? I expect these charming youth wouldn’t refuse the invitation of King Janaka, would love to stay in the city of Mithila quite often, so that the people of Mithila could witness the charm of Rama and Lakshman too. Oh! Dear ladies, King Dhasharatha has brought another two charming youths same as Rama and Lakshman with him, one has the dark cloud complexioned and another one in fair, have an attractive appearance, now declare who have obtained the sight of two charming youths accompanied with King Dasaratha?” One of the young ladies cheered in bliss “I have seen them today, appears as the creator has put all the loveliness in his creation of these two youths, Bharatha resembled Rama and Shathrughna to his elder brother Lakshman, these charming youths are indistinguishable appearance, steals the heart of the people and they are beyond comparison and words. I would say there is no one attractive as these pairs in the three worlds.”

The people of Mithila, the men, and women assembled in large groups and highly praised the divine pair Rama and Sita who are the epitome of beauty, wisdom, fortune, and affluence, and the King Dasaratha and King Janaka are the symbols of virtues. The noble-souls continued to praise “ Devi Janakanandhini is the personification of the piousness of King Janaka, and Lord Rama is the incarnation of the virtues of King Dasaratha. These two illustrious rulers are fervent devotees of Lord Shambhu achieved the grace of the Lord in the form of virtuous daughter and son respectively, and no one has achieved the merit as they did, they are beyond comparison, and there won’t be anyone virtuous as King Janaka and King Dasaratha in the Universe. The Supreme Lord Rama who is too compassionate and kind greeted everyone assembled including members of the family, countrymen, attendants, kinsmen, poor people, ministers, etc. in a befitting manner. The mere sight of Rama and Lakshman was so comforting and pleasant to them, the love and devotion shared with the people were beyond description. The sight of King Dhashratha with his beloved sons resembled the Purusharatha,/Dharma, Arththa, Kama, and Moksha, the people assembled took great pleasure in watching them. The deities showered flowers, there were divine music sounds echoed, celestial Apsaras danced beautifully to the tune of melodious music of Gandharvas.  The illustrious Sage Shathanandha who is the preceptor of King Janaka, a large number of twice-born, prominent members of the assembly of the King were present to receive their guests with great honor, and offered an abundance of gifts before the King, after some time they took leave from the place of shelter. The groom and the huge wedding procession arrived in the palace of Janaka just before the day of wedding rites, the city hosted several festivities at the arrival of the groom’s party. The people of Mithila were transported to a state of extreme bliss, forgot the arrival of day and night, prayed to the creator for the everlasting happiness yearned to immerse in various merriments.

Sage Yajjavalkya speaks “ Oh! Bharadhwaja, King Dasaratha noticed the arrival of Sage Vishwamithra and his two sons, abruptly rose from his throne and rushed on his feet in extreme joy to reach out for the children, as if the man landed on the ocean of bliss. King Dhasharatha reverentially prostrated before Sage Vishwamithra, took the dust particles from the feet of the sage and adorned them on his head, and repeatedly prostrated before the Sage. Soon, Kaushika lifted the King from the floor and embraced him affectionately, and enquired the welfare of him, family, kingdom, and its people. Further, Rama and Laksman prostrated before King Dhasharatha, were affectionately carried from the floor, and tightly embraced children felt his life has restored. Rama and Lakshmana prostrated before the Sage Vishwamithra remained in the embrace of Sage for some time. The two brothers prostrated before the preceptors from the Ayodhya, then the twice-born, and prominent members respectively, achieved an abundance of blessings from them.  Bharatha and Lakshman transported to a state of ecstasy watching Rama and Lakshman, brothers rushed to meet each other’s, lifted in joy and remained in the embrace. Lakshman felt immensely pleased, was overruled by several emotions remained in the embrace of Bharatha and Shathrughna.”

Mune, the Ashtasiddhis miraculously played their role after the command from the Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, soon all the shelter homes and city of Mithila burgeoned with the richness, luxuries, and wealth, resembled heaven on the Earth. The people of the wedding procession from Ayodhya felt they are already in heaven, and taken great pleasure in the luxuries, but none had the idea of the miracle performed by Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi personified as Devi Sita, everyone abundantly praised the splendor of Rajarishi Janaka. Lord Rama perceived the overflowing compassion and love of his consort and felt extremely delighted. The two brothers understood the news of the arrival of their father, could not control their joy, but they kept silent before their preceptor Sage Vishwamithra, they were quiet before the Sage as a mark of honor to their preceptor, but their heart was longed to see their father. Sage Vishwamithra was highly pleased to watch the amiable nature of the two youths, he embraced them affectionately, soon a bliss ran through his limbs, and tears were overflown through his cheeks in extreme happiness. Soon, Sage Vishwamithra along with Rama and Lakshman arrived in the shelter homes where King Dhasharatha was halted as if the lake went to reach the thirsty soul.”

Sage Yajjavalkya speaks “Oh! Mune, the meeting of the two sets of people from Mithila and Ayodhya was brought immense delight in the atmosphere, as if the union of rivers with the ocean waters. The deities showered flowers, and the celestials danced and played divine musical instruments to enhance the auspiciousness of the occasion. The prominent members of the assembly of King Janaka presented the huge collections of auspicious ingredients, and valuables before the King Dhasharatha, and offered their salutations. King Dhasharatha affectionately received the gifts, further, it was distributed to the people of the wedding procession, and the rest is offered to the penniless. The guests from Ayodhya were received with great honor, offered comfortable chambers to occupy in the shelter houses to get relieved from the exhaustion of long hours of journey, the arrangements in the shelter homes were fabulous, which was already loaded with magnificent clothing, beddings, meals, etc. excelled the affluence of Lord Kubera. As soon as the city of Mithila reverberated with the sounds of divine music of the wedding procession of Rama, a large group of twice-born, prominent men in the assembly of King Janaka followed by huge army of warriors, sword fight, chariot fight, elephant, and horse fight warriors, in their vehicles, set out to receive the grand wedding procession from Ayodhya. This army of men was carrying huge golden vessels of luscious fruit juices, baskets of fresh fruits and dry fruits, sumptuous meals, sweets and savories, snacks, and meals of Shadrasa/six types of tastes, auspicious ingredients.  The laborers carried huge pots of curd in large numbers, and several items to appease the people participated in the wedding procession. The arrival of bride’s people with various auspicious ingredients, dressed in stunning garments, followed with the sounds of divine instruments, brought immense pleasure in the people of wedding procession from Ayodhya.

The huge wedding procession witnessed several auspicious omens on their way, as if all their desires are going to be fulfilled, and that too the supreme Lord Rama, the Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma incarnated as the son of King Dasaratha who is the essence of auspiciousness, on the occasion of the celestial marriage going to be held with the Janakanandhini who is none other than Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi the essence of wealth and affluence. King Dhasharatha and King Janaka witnessed several auspicious omens in their lives too, the wedding procession moved enthusiastically towards the city of Mithila, the air filled with the neighing of horses, trumpeting elephants, sounds of rolling of wheels on the rough pathways, the sword fight warriors, horse, chariot, and elephant fight warriors were exhibiting their skills and entertaining the rest of the people to wave off the tediousness of long journey, dancers and singers were performing their skills, while the sounds of divine musical instruments reverberating in the atmosphere. As soon as King Janaka heard the plan of grand wedding procession from the city of Ayodhya, he ordered his men to construct bridges across the rivers in the city, and several beautiful shelter homes with an abundance of food supply, clothing, marvelous guest rooms, were constructed on the way, the magnificence of the city of Mithila excelled the beauty of Amaravathi was all set to receive their guests. The people of the wedding procession took shelter in the guest rooms arranged in a stylish manner, forgot their exhaustion of long journeys took great pleasure in the extravagant meal, bedding, and clothing, and forgot the comfort of their own homes back in the city of Ayodhya.

The young and talented princes mounted on the horses made their stallion dance to the tune of kettle drums, the accomplished dancers took great pleasure in it. The marriage procession was beyond description, people could witness several auspicious omens, the blue-necked bird nibbled its grain from the left of the procession is considered as auspicious, cow and calf appeared on the right of the paddy field, mongoose witnessed by all, soft and cool breeze was  blowing towards the promising direction, Sumangali/un widowed women were seen with the pitcher on her head, holding the arm of the child walking away, and the calf was seen sucking milk from the udder of mother cow, a herd of deer appeared from nowhere to witness the wedding procession, all that was considered as auspicious omen by the people assembled, wife of Bhramin blessed the  procession, Shyama bird was seen seated on the tree  left to the procession, a villager was seen with the pitcher of curd on the head was holding a bunch of fishes on his hand, two Vedic Brahmins holding scriptures was seen walking towards the procession were considered as one of the most promising omens.

King Dhasharatha followed Sage Vashishta and preceptors along with their wives to get into the most excellent chariots, then King occupied his seat in one of the stunning chariots along with Sage Vashishta, contemplating upon Lord Shambhu, Goddess Bhavani, and Lord Ganesha. Sage Vashishta and King Dhasharatha in the magnificent chariot resembled Sage Bhrihaspathi and Lord Indra. The initial rites and Vedic Karma were performed before the beginning of the journey, all the arrangements were made as prescribed in the Veda, the conch was blown in an auspicious moment to begin the procession, preceptors contemplated upon the supreme Lord Rama. The people of Ayodhya rejoiced, showers of flowers began, following an abundance of wishes, resembled the celestial procession. There were sounds of neighing horses, trumpeting elephants, the jingling of bells, the sounds of wheels of the chariot rolling on the beautiful well-paved pathways, there were sounds of clarinets, pipes followed with melodious songs, the stunning dancers attired in marvelous clothing danced to the tune that resembled the abode of the deities.
