Vishwamithra and his preceptors. The Kings and the princes from the neighboring
countries were dejected to watch the two powerful youths with a lovely
appearance, that aroused jealousy in them like the sunrise causes the stars to
fade away. The people of Mithila sincerely wished Rama should bend the powerful
bow of Lord Shiva so that Devi Janaki would attain the charming prince as her
wedded husband. The crowd was too anxious, sincerely wished glories, fame,
strength, and pride personified charming youth Rama should achieve Devi Janaki
as a wedded wife so that the princes and kings of neighboring countries
assembled represent arrogance and ignorance, would be defeated. The Kings and

be ready to kill ourselves in a battlefield to achieve Devi Janaki.” The pious
and noble souls, devotees of Lord Sri Hari watching the arrogance and ignorance
of the princes assembled, began to speak in a soft tone.”
