Chapter – 261– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda– Sage Vishwamithra introduces Rama and Lakshman to Sage Parashurama

 

Sage Yajjavalkya speaks “Oh! Mune, Bhriguvamsamani Sage Parashurama is a supreme ascetic with a shocking history of deeds, killed several wicked Kshatriyas, and reduced the burden of Mother Earth. Sage Parashurama appeared before the Rishis and Sages, Kings, and Princes assembled the Yajja arena of Janaka. Soon, the Kings assembled abruptly rose from their throne, prostrated at the lotus feet of Bhriguvamsamani, recalling the names of their entire clan in hymns and paid their humble obeisance to him. Sage cast a friendly look upon the Kings, further King Janaka offered his prayer and prostrated before the sage, and send out to bring Devi Sita and the Queen to prostrate the Sage. Devi Sita accompanied by female companions prostrated before the Sage, and they have withdrawn from the sight of the sage immediately out of fear and respect. Sage Vishwamithra present before the Sage Parashurama and introduced the two handsome youths as the sons of King Dhasharatha to him, Rama and Lakshman prostrated before the Sage Parashurama and offered prayers introducing their clan. Sage Parashurama’s gaze fixed at the marvelous beauty of Rama, which excels the splendor of crores of Manmatha.”
