Chapter
– 323– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda– The nobleness of King Dhasharatha
King
Janaka offered rich fragrant ingredients stuffed in sweet betel leaves to King
Dasaratha and all the guests, thus Avadhapadhi bade farewell to all the
monarchs and retired to his fortress. The days and nights were filled with
various festivities, no one noticed the passage of time, days were passed like
moments to them. Bhoopathimani/Jewel of King, Dhasharatha wakes up early hours of
dawn, at the praise of Vandhigana and Suthagana of his glories, whenever he witnesses
his charming sons along with their beautiful brides, his heart raptured in
supreme bliss. King Dhasharatha finished the early morning rites and approached
preceptor Sage Vashishta and offered sincere salutations and worshiped the sage,
and with folded hands spoke to him “Oh! Muniraja, it was your grace I have
received all that I have desired in my life. Oh! Mune, kindly invites Bhramins,
and donate them cows decorated with golden jewels, and continue the practice
for another few days.” Sage Vashishta praised King Dhasharatha for his
generosity and called out for Sages.
