The men and women of the Kingdom of Ayodhya celebrated
over the news of the upcoming coronation ceremony of Rama as the King of Ayodhya,
everyone was delighted and felt that the deities have disposed of them favorably
and began the preparation for the ceremony. King Dhasharatha summoned Sage Vashishta
and requested him to meet Rama and advise him about the austerities that should
be followed for the upcoming celebration. The moment Lord of Raghu's heard the
arrival of Sage Vashishta to his fortress, he stood at the doorsteps waited to
receive him. Rama prostrated before the lotus feet of the Sage at his arrival,
reverentially invited him and offered water to wash his hands, and worshiped the
Sage following the sixteen methods/Shodasha Upachara, then Rama and Sita together
prostrated at the feet of the Sage, and stood with folded hands “Oh! Bhagavan, the
visit of Master to his sincere servant’s home brings all kinds of
auspiciousness, and removes all the impurities and evilness, Oh! Prabho, it
would have been even more beneficial, if the Master ordered the servant to
visit him and assigned the duty since your visit to my palace is the most
auspicious occasion followed with your affection towards me. Oh! Prabho, I am
fortunate to have you, and most willing to follow your orders, a servant
achieves all kinds auspiciousness by serving his Master sincerely.”
