Bala Kanda – The description of stunningly beautiful Manasarovar of Sri
Ramacharitha
I shall describe the excellent conversation
took place between 1) Lord Shambhu and Goddess Bhavani 2) Sage Kakabhusundi and
Garuda 3) Sage Yajjavalkya and Sage
Bharadhwaja and 4) Tulsidas and the saintly men, represents the four pots of
nectar-like sacred water collected from the
beautiful lake of Sri Ramacharitha Manas.
The seven cantos of the Sri Ramacharitha
Manas is marvelous seven flight of steps should be looked upon with wisdom and
delight, that describes the boundless virtues, compassion, and mercy of Lord
Ramachandra is the bottomless water in the Manasarovar, in this beautiful lake
of Sri Ramacharitha, the supreme Lord Rama and Sita perform various
amusements. The nine types of emotions such as Veera/valor, Raudra/anger, Kama/
lust, Hasya/humor, Karuna/kindness, Bhaya/fear, Beebhatsa/dreadfulness,
Shantha/serene, and Adhbutha/surprise are the colorful fishes in the Manasarovar.
The Chaupais represents thickly grown lotus plants, describes the shells holds
the precious pearl like the virtues of Rama. The Chandass, meter, Dhohas are
the pack of different colors of lotus flowers. The matchless ideas and the way
of expression resemble the pollen of flowers, fragrances, and honey bees
respectively. The virtuous and noble-souls represent the swarm of bees that
takes immense pleasure in the pollen of flowers, the spiritual knowledge,
Parmarththa Thaththva, dispassion, etc. represents the Swan. The fortunate Jeeva enriched with Bhakti, Gnana
and Vairagya, Vignana, with the practice of Shamadhamadhi, austerities, vows,
celibacy, meditation, contemplation, etc. resemble aquatic animals in the
Manasarovar, like the Sri Ramacharitha. The virtuous are the water birds that
take immense pleasure in the Manasarovar. The assemblage of the saints,
Mahathma, are the overly grown mango trees loaded with fruits and flowers on the
bank of the Manasarovar. Veda highly emphasizes the fruitfulness of human life as
the achievement of knowledge of self’ with the practice of devotion,
austerities, vows, penance, which are the creepers, and the Shama, Sathyam,
Dhaya, Dhanam, Shaucham, Astheyam, Bhramacharya, Swadhyaya, Arjjavam, Ahimsa,
Niyama, Yama, Athmavichara are the flowers in the beautifully spread creepers
in the Manasarovar. The achievement of knowledge of ‘self, Paramarththa
Thaththva, Prakrithi is inseparable from the Purusha, all the material matters/Prakrithi
is destructible, and the Athma is indestructible Purusha, Jeevathma is
Paramathma, these are the Paramarththa Thaththva provides nearness to supreme Lord
Hari. The various episodes described in the Manasarovar of Sri Ramacharitha
represent stunningly beautiful parrots and cuckoos.
