Bala Kanda – Lord Kamadeva fails to disrupt the penance of Maharishi Narada
Sage Yajjavalkya speaks “Oh! Mune, the Lord
Kamadeva accompanied by the celestial Apsaras arrived in the foothills of
Himalaya where Maharishi Narada was immersed in the Tapasya, soon whole the atmosphere got revitalized with the Vasantharithu, suddenly, the trees, plants,
and creepers loaded with fresh and rich fragrant flowers, the cool wind added
pleasure in the living creatures, Cuckoos, and beautiful birds of various
species sang melodiously, the celestial Apsaras Rambha and her associates
merrily sported together, singing and dancing to the melodious music. Lord
Kamadeva rejoiced at heart, watching the beautiful scene created to distract
the Tapasya of Maharishi Narada. Gradually, Lord Kamadeva and his associates
made all the attempts to disrupt the Tapasya were failed miserably, Kamadeva
felt humiliated, none of his tricks on the Sage was enough to break his meditation. Can anyone possible cause harm to the
devotees of Lord of Lakshmi?”
