Chapter – 93– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – The procession of groom arrived in the Kingdom of Mount Himavan

The mesmerizing beauty of the Kingdom of Mount Himavan put Lord Bhrama into great admiration, pushed to become pale and insignificant. The loveliness of streams, ponds, fortresses, and walls, exquisite painting on the wall, pleasure gardens was beyond words. The houses and pathways in the Kingdom were decorated with expensive gems and ornaments, flags, etc. The men and women in the city were attired in marvelous garments, ornaments, were looked stunning, captured the hearts of Yogis and Muneeshwaras. The city where Goddess Jagadamba Bhavani born as the daughter of Himavan resembled her loveliness and richness, the abode of Himavan expansively prospered with welfare, success, happiness. The people understood the procession of the groom arrived in the city with the loud noises of kettle drums, Dhumdhubi, pipe instruments, etc. it multiplied the cheer and joy among the people. Soon, well-decorated chariots, vehicles of the Kingsmen, and prominent personalities proceeded to receive the guests with great honor, they were highly enthusiastic to receive the deities, Lord Vishnu, and his attendants. The moment they witnessed the horrific appearance of Lord Shiva Ganas in the procession, made the King's men and Rishis flee into different directions out of fear. The adults assembled regained their courage, but the children could not stand before the Ganas, ran out of extreme anguish. Finally, the children managed to reach home, gasping for breath informed their parents in extreme fear “How shall I describe the procession? The mere thought of it makes me feel dreadful, it is beyond words. I doubt, is that procession for marriage or army of Lord Yama, the groom is mounted on a bull, attired in the dirty rug, smeared in ashes, crawling serpents  as ornaments all over the body, reddish-brown matted hair locks, adorned in crescent moon and reservoir of water, and the chest is covered in tiger skin and the garland of skulls.”
