Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – Sage Bharadhwaja’s plea to Rishi Yajjavalkya

Chapter – 44– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Sage Bharadhwaja’s plea to Rishi Yajjavalkya

The Sages, Rishis, and noble-souls assembled in the beautiful hermitage of Sage Bharadhwaja discuss various topics on the sacred texts, philosophies, devotion, wisdom, renunciation/ Bhakti, Gnana, Vairagya and the supreme Bhramam. In this way, the whole month of auspicious Magha, they spent on various austerities, rites, discussions, lectures on various amusements of Lord Sri Hari etc. and at the end of the day return to their own shelter places. It is one of the most delightful occasions during the month of Magha, the ascetics in a large number gather at one place and share their experiences and views on the sacred subjects, at the end of the Magha, all those assembled would prepare to leave their own destinations. It was one of that moment, all the ascetics prepared to leave, Sage Bharadhwaja reverentially fallen at the feet of the highly intellectual Sage Yajjavalkya, washed his feet and offered a raised seat, and began to speak in a soft tone “Oh! Mahathma/noble soul, you are well-versed in Veda and scriptures, I have a serious doubt that disturbs my peace of mind, If I haven’t disclosed or get it cleared with you,  I may lose the opportunity once for all.”
