Chapter – 203– Sri Ramacharitha Manas –
Ayodhya Kanda– Sage Bharadhwaja affirms that Bharatha conquered the world with
his love and devotion at the lotus feet of Rama
Sage Bharadhwaja spoke passionately “Oh!
Son, Rama was born as a son to King Dhasharatha for his righteousness and virtues,
that supreme Bhramam is always contemplated by Lord Shiva and never get
satisfied of it born on Earth as Rama. Oh! Bharatha, you have proved your
sincere devotion and pure love at the lotus feet of Rama, like the autumn moon.
Oh! Son, do not get disappointed and grieve over things that are not under your
control, like the fear of poverty even after achieving treasures. Oh! Bharatha,
I am an ascetic, living in the forest, I can’t lie to you, I have no interest
in worldly matters, I have obtained the fruitfulness of my austerities,
penances, and spiritual practices after witnessing Rama, Devi Sita and
Lakshman. Your pure love and devotion at the lotus feet of Rama itself is a
great fortune, and it would bring auspiciousness to Prayaga and all of us. Oh!
Bharatha, you have conquered the world with your love and devotion at the lotus
feet of Rama, it is praiseworthy.” Sage Bharadhwaja's eyes welled up in tears while
concluding his speech, and those who were assembled rejoiced at heart, the
deities showered flowers praising Bharatha who was overwhelmed with various
emotions listening to the divine voice heard from the heaven and Prayaga.
