Chapter
– 251– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Ayodhya Kanda– Bharatha, preceptors and
assembly of Ministers meets Lord Sri Ramachandra
Bharatha
spoke fervently “Oh! Mune, Lord Rama is the supreme Bhramam/Purusha and Devi Sita
is inseparable from that Bhramam, she is all-pervasive Prakrithi, are
omniscient/Antharyami, resides as a soul in the Jeeva, knower of all, omnipresent
and the essence of the wisdom of and knowledge. Oh! Prabho, kindly do something
promising to all.” The Sage Vashishta and the people assembled were highly
pleased with the nectar-like words full of wisdom, devotion, pure love at the
lotus feet of Rama, transported to a state of ecstasy. Bharatha’s devotion resembled
the ocean of devotion and the advice of the Sage represents the wooden log to protect
the Jeeva sinking in the miseries of worldly existence, so as to float on the
ocean of devotion without the help of a ferry. Bharatha’s glory is beyond
description, will it be possible to describe the beauty of the ocean filled
with aquatic animals, seashells of various nature? Everyone assembled before
the Sage was highly pleased with the speeches of Bharatha, further they
proceeded to the hermitage of Rama. Sage Vashishta and Vamadeva were received
with great honor, Rama prostrated before the Sages, and offered a sanctified seat for them, after receiving permission from the Sages, Rama took a seat on
the floor. The illustrious Sage Vashishta began to speak the words appropriate
for the time and situation. “Oh! Rama, listen to me carefully, you are
omniscient, wise, and storehouse of virtues.”
