Chapter – 222– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Ayodhya Kanda– Lakshman got raged asking for permission to fight against Bharatha and Shathrughna

The Veda and scriptures describe the immoral deeds of Lord Chandra against the wife of Sage Bhrihaspathi, and the arrogance of King Nahusha who was established as Lord Indra fallen for the beauty of Devi Sachi, and instructed the illustrious Rishis to carry his palanquin to meet her, ended up in the curse. The legend of wicked King Vena who met his destruction at the ‘Humkara’ of the Sages. The King Sahasrabhahu, Lord Indra, and King Thrishankhu who is the father of Harishchandra all has brought illreputation due to their fame and power. Bharatha achieved the throne of Ayodhya in a unique circumstance, hence one should not misjudge or leave the trace of enemy and debt, Bharatha made a mistake considering you as his threat, for that he will realize his mistake when he beholds your lotus feet on the battlefield.” Lakshman spoke the truthful words, forgetting his love for his brother and family, “Oh! Prabho, kindly do not mistake me, Bharatha has stirred my anger to a great extent, how shall I endure this while the grace of my Lord is with me, and I have powerful bow and arrows in my hands.”
