Chapter – 264– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Ayodhya Kanda– The messengers of King Janaka arrives to meet Rama

Bharatha spoke fervently “Oh! Prabho, each one of us are willing to carry out your orders with great delight, thereby we shall ensure to wipe off injustice and confusions prevailing in the minds of our subjects.” The deities were immensely pleased and showered flowers on Bharatha, listening to his guileless speech. The people of Ayodhya were astonished, the Sages and Rishis and forest dwellers rejoiced at heart. The Lord of Raghu who is selfless, kind, and compassionate, kept silent for a while, once again everyone pushed to anxiousness watching the silence of Lord. At that very moment, a few messengers from King Janaka arrived, when Sage Vashishta heard the news, he immediately sent his people to accompany them. The messengers reverentially prostrated before Lord Rama, they grieved looking at the attire of Prabhu Sri Ram resembled the hermit. The illustrious Sage Vashishta enquired “Oh! Noble souls, is that everything well with King Janaka”, the messengers bowed head reverentially before the Sage and spoke with folded hands “Oh! Mahathma, your loving inquiries about our King would do good to him and his family and entire the Kingdom.”
