Chapter – 232– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Ayodhya
Kanda– Bharatha witnesses Devi Sita and Lord Rama seated in the middle of the
altar surrounded by hermits
The sages eulogized “The nectar of love of
the compassionate Lord Rama has assumed the form of a hermit for the welfare of the
Universe and the noble souls, he is the churning stick in the unfathomable ocean
created by the pain of separation in the heart of Bharatha, and the grief of
Bharatha resembled the Mount Mandhara.” Lakshman could not trace out Bharatha,
Shatrughna, Guha, approaching the hermitage because of the thickness of the
forest, Bharatha could witness the beautiful hermitage located under the banyan
tree on the riverbank of Payaswini. As soon as Bharatha entered the close
vicinity of the hermitage of Rama, he could experience immense delight, all his
fears, anxiousness, and exhaustion has disappeared as if the supreme Yogi has
achieved the highest bliss. Bharatha saw Lakshman who was attired in saffron
robe, adorned in matted hair locks, wielded in bow and arrow standing before
the Lord and reverentially answering to his queries. Devi Sita along with Lord
Raghu shone in the middle of alter was surrounded by hermits, saintly men, ascetics,
Rishis and Sages. Lord Rama was attired
in a saffron robe, and matted hair locks, wielded in bow and arrow, capable to
remove the despair of the Jeeva with his pleasant smile, and Devi Sita was
attired in a saffron robe, adorned in rosary beads resembled Lord Kamadeva and
Devi Rathi has appeared in the form of hermits.
