Chapter – 210– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Ayodhya
Kanda– Bharatha who is love for Rama personified on the Earth stirs jealousy in
Lord Indhra
The rain clouds provided shade to Bharatha,
the pleasant cool breeze of rich fragrance smoothened their journey through the
woods, thus Bharatha’s journey to meet the supreme Bhramam Lord Rama has become
most pleasant. The living and non-living things on the Earth who have witnessed
the splendor of Lord Rama, Devi Sita along with Lakshman, achieved the fruitfulness
of their eyes were transported to a higher state of bliss and got rid of
Bavaroga/afflictions of worldly existence. There was nothing surprising about
Bharatha who is the pure love and devotion personified, whoever utters the
sacred name ‘Rama’ would get released from the Thapathraya and would be
capable to relieve the grief of others too. Bharatha is beloved of Rama as well
as Lakshman, hence there is no wonder that his journey to the woods became pleasant.
The Sidhdhaganas, Rishis, and Sages behold the splendor of Bharatha and
rejoiced at heart. Lord Indhra envied at the glories of Bharatha, ultimately the world is too good for the pious and extremely troublesome for the wicked. Lord
Indra spoke to his preceptor Sage Bhrihaspathi “Oh! Prabho, Bharatha is the
love for Rama personified on the Earth, so we have to do something to prevent
the meeting between Rama and Bharatha.”
