Chapter
– 260– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Ayodhya Kanda– Bharatha realizes that his
welfare and goodness lies in sincerely following the instructions of Rama
The preceptor of the deities Sage Bhrihaspathi
spoke “Oh! Deities, Good luck to all of you. The devotion at the lotus feet of Bharatha
is the source of all the auspiciousness. The service at the lotus feet of Lord
Sitapathi is as propitious as service to hundreds of Kamadhenu/the wish-fulfilling divine cow. You have chosen to worship the devotee of Lord Rama; therefore,
your tasks will get accomplished without any doubt. Oh! Lord Indra, the Lord of
Raghu is highly pleased with the pure love and devotion of Bharatha, hence he
is most favorable to Bharatha, always remember that Bharatha is the shadow of
Rama, hence the worship of Bharath would remove all your anxiousness and fear.” The
Lord of Raghu who is the Paramathma Parambhramam, knower of all perceived that
the deities and Sage Bhrihaspathi are uneasy, eventually, Rama felt
uncomfortable watching the suffering of the deities. Now Bharatha felt that all
the responsibilities all on his shoulder, though he was planned to entrust all those
to his elder brother, finally he made up his mind that his goodness and welfare
is vested in following the orders of Rama who is strict to his vows, he once
again remembered with tears Rama has shown so much of kindness and love to his
brothers.
