Chapter – 212– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Ayodhya
Kanda– Sage Bhrihaspathi instructs Lord Indra to leave animosity against
Bharatha, which would cause endless trouble to him
Sage Bhrihaspathi spoke “Oh! Lord Indra,
never harbor thoughts of infusing afflictions to the devotees of Lord Rama, the
mere thought of ill to the devotees of Rama would bring sin and endless grief to
you. Oh! The King of deities, listen to me, devotees are dear to Rama, he gets
highly pleased with the worship of his devotees, and do not bear the hostility
towards his devotees even though the all-pervasive supreme Bhramam reside as a soul in the Jeeva is pure, unblemished, free from afflictions, has neither
birth nor death, free from changes, it is eternal bliss. Fate is
unconquerable and it is the ruling factor of Jeeva, whoever sows the goodness reap
the fruit of it, and whoever sows the evilness reap the fruit of the same. Oh!
Lord Indra, the all-pervasive Bhramam who is pure and free from impurities and affliction,
has assumed the form of a human for the welfare of his devotees. Lord Rama is
highly propitious to his devotees, the Veda and scriptures eulogize his
splendor, the Saints, and Rishis have experienced the kindness and compassion
of that Lord. Oh! Indra, leave your animosity against Bharatha who is love personified,
and cherish the love and devotion of Bharatha at the lotus feet of Lord Rama.”
