Chapter – 106– Sri Ramacharitha Manas –
Ayodhya Kanda– Rama worships Theertharaja, the presiding deity Bindhumadhava
and Akshaya Vatavruksha, and proceed to visit Sage Bharadhwaja
The fortunate Sadhus and Sant Mahathma
serve the King and attain the Purusharththa, the Vedas and scriptures highly
eulogize the glories of Theertharaja Prayag. The splendor of Prayaga is beyond
description, how can the herd of elephants like sins withstand before the lion
Theertharaja? The chief of Raghu is an ocean of bliss was highly delighted to
visit the Theertharaja, further described the greatness of Prayag to Devi Sita
and Lakshman and Guha. Rama offered obeisance to Theertharaj and looked around
the beautiful lush green land and woods, at once they have achieved the grace
of the Lord. He arrived at the confluence of Ganga and Yamuna, the very thought of
it would provide auspiciousness, Rama took a holy dip in the Triveni, worshiped
Lord Shiva and the presiding deity Bindumadhava in a prescribed ritual. Rama
took a visit to Sage Bharadhwaja, fallen at the feet of the Sage was raised
from the ground and he embraced Rama with intense love. The joy of Sage
Bharadhwaja at the visit of Rama was beyond description, he achieved
Bhramanandham watching the splendor of Rama.
