Chapter – 128– Sri Ramacharitha Manas –
Ayodhya Kanda– Sage Valmiki instructs Rama to reside in the heart of Jeeva who
is devoted and righteous
Sage Valmiki spoke “Oh! Prabho, 1) kindly
reside in the heart of the swan-like heart of the Jeeva, that chooses to follow
righteousness like pearls, in the Manasarovar like your endless glories. Oh!
Rama, 2) kindly reside in the mind of the Jeeva who inhale the fragrances of
flowers and sandalwood paste adorned on your lotus feet. Oh! Rama, 3) kindly
reside in the hearts of the Jeeva who consume grains after offering to you, prefer
to use the clothes and ornaments offered to you, and the Jeeva whose head bow
down at your lotus feet reverentially, the Jeeva whose heart is filled with
pure love and devotion to you, the Jeeva whose feet constantly visits your
shrine and holy places. Oh! Prabho, 4) kindly reside in the heart of the Jeeva
who recite the sacred ‘Ramanama’, worship you and your devotees, the Jeeva who
perform homage to ancestors, and perform sacrificial fire/Yaga, and offer
oblations in the fire, the Jeeva who perform an abundance of charities, and
shower gifts to Bhramin, the Jeeva who relentlessly serve the preceptor and
sincerely follow his commands.”
