Chapter – 129– Sri Ramacharitha Manas –
Ayodhya Kanda– Sage Valmiki instructs Rama to reside in the heart of the Jeeva
who worship without any personal desire to fulfil– The Jeeva who sincerely pray
for ‘Bhakti/devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra.
Sage Valmiki spoke “Oh! Raghunandhana, 1)
kindly reside in the heart of the Jeeva who sincerely follow righteousness,
worship you and your devotees without any personal desire to fulfil, and ask
for sincere devotion at your lotus feet as a boon. Oh! Prabho, kindly enthrone
yourself with Devi Sita in the shrine-like heart of the Jeeva. Oh! Raghunayaka,
2) kindly reside in the heart of the Jeeva who is free from the impurities of
lust, desire, ego, pride, jealousy, Ahamkara, Mamakara etc. Oh! Prabho, 3) kindly
reside in the heart of the Jeeva who is distressed and desolate, the Jeeva who
constantly remember your endless glories while awake and asleep, the Jeeva who
is kind, compassionate, truthful, free from dualities of sorrow and happiness,
grief and joy, good and evil, etc. Oh! Prabho, 4) kindly reside in the heart of
the Jeeva who respect and being kind to the wife of others, the Jeeva who
consider the wealth of other’s as deadly poison, the Jeeva who feels happy and
elated at the joy of others, and feel distressed at the grief of others. Oh!
Rama, 5) the Jeeva who consider you dear as their life and surrendered at your
lotus feet, kindly reside in their heart.”
