The villagers spread soft grass and leaves under the cool shade of the Banyan tree and requested Rama to take a rest for a while and proceed with their journey. Others brought pitchers full of water and requested the Lord to relieve the thirst. Rama was highly pleased with the love and devotion of the villagers, perceived that Devi Sita was already exhausted after a long journey in the woods, decided to take rest under the banyan tree for a while.  The people assembled were praised the kind-heartedness of the Lord, behold his charming appearance, was transported to a state of bliss. They took a seat around Rama and gazed at him, like the flock of Chakora birds encircled watching at the moon. The Supreme Lord Ramachandra shone in the middle of the villagers leaving the luster of dark cloud resembled young Thamalavruksha, excelled the beauty of millions of Kamadeva. Lakshman who has a fair complexion resembled the lightning in the middle of the villagers, lured the heart of the people with his lovely appearance. The two brothers were wrapped in the bark of trees around their waist, partially covered attractive limbs, wielded in bow and arrows, stolen the heart of the villagers.
