Chapter – 111– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Ayodhya
Kanda– A young hermit arrives to meet Rama, Lakshman, and Devi Sita on the riverbank
of Yamuna
As soon as the young ascetic saw the
supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra, his beloved Lord, a sudden rush of joy ran
through his limbs, eyes overflown with tears, threw his body at the lotus feet
of the Lord, and prostrated, the state of his mind and body was beyond description.
The young sage was raptured in a state of ecstasy like the pauper achieved the
treasure, Rama raised him from the ground and embraced him tightly, then he has fallen at the feet of Lakshman, who raised the young sage from the ground and
embraced him with extreme love. He prostrated before Devi Sita reverentially,
and took a handful of dust from the footsteps of Devi Sita and adorned it on his
forehead, Devi Sita realized him as her own child and blessed him. The
Nishadharaja Guha prostrated at the feet of the young Sage, realizing him as
beloved of Lord Rama. The hermit embraced Guha knowing him as a sincere servant
of Rama. The hermit beholds the beauty of his beloved Lord, devours his beauty
with the eyes, like a hungry soul achieved a sumptuous meal after a long period
of time. The men and women assembled before Lord Rama behold the beauty of the
three and wept over the grief of the King and the queen mothers who have left
their dear children to woods.
