King Janaka offered rich fragrant ingredients stuffed in sweet betel leaves to King Dasaratha and all the guests, thus Avadhapadhi bade farewell to all the monarchs and retired to his fortress. The days and nights were filled with various festivities, no one noticed the passage of time, days were passed like moments to them. Bhoopathimani/Jewel of King, Dhasharatha wakes up early hours of dawn, at the praise of Vandhigana and Suthagana of his glories, whenever he witnesses his charming sons along with their beautiful brides, his heart raptured in supreme bliss. King Dhasharatha finished the early morning rites and approached preceptor Sage Vashishta and offered sincere salutations and worshiped the sage, and with folded hands spoke to him “Oh! Muniraja, it was your grace I have received all that I have desired in my life. Oh! Mune, kindly invites Bhramins, and donate them cows decorated with golden jewels, and continue the practice for another few days.” Sage Vashishta praised King Dhasharatha for his generosity and called out for Sages.

The mega meal was cooked by experts in culinary, all the preparations were made out of cow’s milk, butter, and ghee. The attendants enthusiastically served the guests with rice and ghee, followed by various dishes on the marvelous golden plates, the guests were served with a delicious meal cooked with utmost purity was served at their heart’s content. The guests seated offered the initial bits of Pancharasa/five tastes to the Panchaprana, and started consuming the meal delightfully. The sweets and savories served were beyond description, and the tastes were fabulous, the expert cooks served seasoned fruits and vegetables which were difficult to name. Thus, the four types of dishes served were as prescribed in scriptures 1) food that is tasted with the tongue 2) food should be consumed after chewing 3) food that can be swallowed easily, and 4) beverages was beyond description. There were dishes of six flavors/Shadrasa, while the dinner was in progress the men and women dressed in beautiful attire, melodiously sang the names of the dishes served to the guests and entertained the guests, King Dhasharatha and the entire groom’s people were thoroughly enjoyed the music and sumptuous meal. Finally, the guests finished their meal was reverentially served with scented water to rinse their mouth and wash their hands.

King Janaka invited all the guests for a grand feast, the sumptuous meal followed by sweets and savories which were beyond description. King Dhasharatha with his four sons majestically took a walk on the rich carpeted floor was led to the grand dining hall, King Janaka washed the feet of King Dhasharatha with great affection, further he washed the lotus feet of son-in-law, Rama which resides in the Manasarovar like the heart of Lord Shiva, he washed the feet of Bharatha, Lakshman and Shathrughna considered as none other than Rama. The guests were taken to the highly decorated seats arranged for them, finally, the attendants were ordered to serve the meal. The plates made of precious yellow metal, decorated with gems in which the sumptuous meals were served for the guests.

The charming appearance of Sri Rama, adorned in marvelous crown excelled the beauty of crores of Manmatha, the women and celestials wonderstruck watching the mesmerizing beauty of that supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra, and plucked the grass and tore it into pieces removing the evil eyes on the Lord. The women assembled around the couple with a large number of earthen lamps, precious gifts, Mangaladhravya, they melodiously sang and removed the evil eyes on the couple. The deities showered flowers on the newly wedded couples, the Vandhigana and Suthaganas sung in praise of their clans. The Suvasinis of the family brought the couples in their fortresses, led them to the worship hall f0llowed with the auspicious songs, and performed the customary rites. Devi Gauri taught Rama how to offer the first meal to Devi Sita, and Devi Sarada taught the same to Devi Sita. The Vandhiganas and Suthaganas merrily sing in praise of the couple, thus everyone attained the fruitfulness of their births. Devi Janaki who was adorned in finest ornaments from head to toe witnessed the reflection of Rama in each piece of the jewelry adorned on her body, she was dared to move her sight from it even for a second, with a fear of losing the loveliest sight of Rama in it, and the rapture of love and yearning of Devi Sita was not known to anyone other than her consort. Finally, the newlywedded couples accompanied by the twice-born, Sages, Rishis, followed King Dhasharatha and preceptors to the fortress allocated for them, the blessings poured from all directions to the newlywedded couples from the city as well as from heaven, everyone exclaimed in a supreme state of ecstasy “Victory! Victory! Victory! Long live the newlyweds! Long Live the newlyweds! Long Live the newlyweds!” The Siddhas, Yogis, Sages, and Rishis poured their blessings on the couples, while the divine music reverberated on the sky, finally the Sages bade farewell and return to their respective abodes delightfully.

Devi Janaki whose beautiful eyes has the resemblance of female antelope kept looking at the charming appearance of Rama, with intense love and thirst, her eyes excelled the loveliness of fish shrunken out of modesty. The attractive blue limbs of Rama outshined millions of Kamadeva, his lotus feet adorned in red lack is the shelter place of bee-like minds of Sages, Rishis, and Mahatmas shone brilliantly, the majestic yellow silk garment on the waist, and the marvelous girdle decorated with the small bells produced jingling noises were stealing the hearts, his long hands stretched up to knees were adorned in armlets, bangles, and finger rings, his broad chest was adorned in a yellow sacred thread, and various precious ornaments, Kausthubham, Vanamala, and Srivathsam. His right shoulder was partly covered with the marvelous and lengthy yellow silk garment decorated with gold and gems was sagging down on the floor. His wide and beautiful eyes resembled lotus flower petals, ears were adorned in Makara Kundala/fish-shaped earrings, he had beautiful eyebrows, nose, cheeks, red lips resemble Bimba fruits, his forehead was beautifully adorned in vermilion and sandalwood paste, his head was adorned in magnificent crown decorated with various gems, pearls multiplied his loveliness.

King Janaka attended the groom’s people individually, and honored them and offered an abundance of gifts. He received the twice-born, Sages, Rishis with great respect and offered charities, prostrated before them seeking perpetual blessings, and stood before them with folded hands and spoke in a pleasant tone “The deities and ascetics gets highly pleased with the pure love and devotion, they are the ocean of compassion and kindness, will it be possible to propitiate the ocean by offering a handful of water?” King Kushakethu, younger brother of King Janaka approached them with folded hands and prayed to King of Kosala, with full of wise and sincere words “Oh! Rajan, the marriage between the princes and princess of Kosala and Mithila brought great fame and respect to us, kindly consider us as your sincere attendants. Oh! Kosalapathi, kindly consider these young girls as your son’s sincere attendants, and foster them with extreme kindness. Oh! Rajan, kindly pardon us for the ignorance to put you in trouble to visit us.” King of Ayodhya, the jewel of the solar race honored the King of Mithila and Kushakethu, and offered an abundance of gifts in return, the mutual respect, and love shared by the King of Mithila and King of Ayodhya was beyond description, their hearts overflown with love and respect for each other, the deities showered flowers on them. King Dhasharatha along with preceptors, followed by a huge number of twice-born reciting Vedic chants, sounds of divine musical instruments, returned to the fortress arranged for him to stay, the celestial showered flowers in extreme delight. Sage Vashishta instructed the brides and grooms to conduct the worship of family deities eventually led them to the place where the deities have been installed before the wedding ceremonies were begun.

The King of Ayodhya/Avadhapathi was extremely delighted to see his four beautiful sons and lovely daughters in law, the illustrious Kings perceived the charming grooms as the Purusharththa/Dharma, Arththa, Kama, and Moksha personified as sons of Dhasharatha and the beautiful daughters in law as the symbol of sacrificial performances, piousness, Yoga, and spiritual practices. Bharatha, Lakshman, and Shathrughna’s marriages were performed exactly the same as the wedding rites performed for Rama. The wealth and richness offered as gifts by King Janaka to his groom was beyond description, the entire wedding Hall was filled with gifts and contributions offered by King Janaka to his sons-in-law in the form of golden ornaments, silk garments, chariots, elephants, horses, several male and female attendants, cows adorned in magnificent golden ornaments. The guardians of different realms envied watching the gifts offered as gifts by King Janaka to his sons-in-law. The King of Ayodhya accepted the gifts offered wholeheartedly, further stored the required items for the brides were transferred to their carts and the rest of them were offered to the needy people. King Janaka with folded hands spoke gentle words to King Dhasharatha.
