Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Uththara Kanda – The Nishadharaja leaving Ayodhya after receiving blessings from Lord Rama

Chapter - 20– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara Kanda – The Nishadharaja leaving Ayodhya after receiving blessings from Lord Rama

Angadha spoke to Hanuman who was returning to serve Lord Sri Ramachandra after obtaining permission from Sugrivah “Oh! Hanuman, kindly convey my humble salutation to Lord Rama, I shall request you with folded hands, kindly remind Lord Rama about me from time to time.” Thus, Angadha proceeded his journey to his Kingdom, Hanuman joyfully returned to Lord Rama and informed the true love and devotion of Angadha, and the Lord was highly pleased. Sage Kakabhusundi speaks “Oh! Garuda, Lord Rama can be too restrained, and his heart is softer than the flowers, tell me who is kind and benevolent than Lord Rama?”

Lord Rama invited the Nishadharaja Guha, and offered him an abundance of jewels, and garments of his choice, and spoke “Oh! Guha, you may return home, and continue to share the knowledge of righteousness by word, mind, and deed. Oh! Dear friend, remember that you are dear as Bharatha to me, and keep visiting the Kingdom of Ayodhya frequently.” Guha’s eyes drenched in tears, he was immensely pleased to listen to Lord Rama and prostrated before the Lord. Thus, Guha returned to his village Sringaberipura, contemplating upon Lord Sri Ramachandra, as soon he got back, he shared the pieces of information and kindness of the Lord to all his Kinsmen. The people of Ayodhya abundantly praised the virtues, righteousness, valor of Lord Sri Ramachandra, the three worlds rejoiced at the crowning of Lord Rama as the King of Ayodhya, the entire Universe relieved from the Thapathraya, there was no enmity, or natural calamities, or sufferings, the entire creatures on the Earth lived in complete harmony.

Chapter - 19– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara Kanda – Angadha leaving Lord Rama heavy heartedly – Hanuman returns to serve the Lord after obtaining permission from Sugrivah

Lord Sri Ramachandra rushed to Angadha, after watching the humbleness and devotion of the son of Vali and took him from the ground and embraced him, both of them shed tears of joy. Thus, Angadha remained in the embrace of Rama for a while, clinging on his ornaments and attire, finally, the compassionate Lord pacified him in many ways and send him back to Kishkindha. Soon, Bharatha, Lakshma, and Shathrughna joined with Rama to send off Angadha, who reluctantly moved out of the sight of the Lord, all his way he turned back several times and looked at the merciful Lord, he repeatedly prostrated before him, with the expectation that the compassionate Lord may ask him to stay with him. Angadha was recalled the moments when the Lord greeted all the Vanaras, conversed with them, and walked away from them with a beautiful smile, it saddened him. He repeatedly contemplated upon the Lord, with humble prayers, and fixed the lotus feet of the Lord at his heart, and walked away with a heavy heart. Bharatha, Lakshman, and Shathrughna noticed that all the Vanaras were left the palace, so they returned to their respective fortresses. Hanuman who was accompanying Sugrivah/Kapeesa, for a while, suddenly clasped the feet of his Master and spoke “Oh! Prabho, Oh! Master, Son of Lord Surya kindly permit to serve Lord Sri Ramachandra for few more days, after that, I can join with you.” Sugrivah replied with great admiration “Oh! Vayuputhra, you are a storehouse of virtues and fortune, you may go and serve at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra as you wish.” Thus, all the Vanaras proceeded their journey to their homes, at that moment Angadha hurried to speak to Hanuman.

Lord of Raghu invited the elderly Jambhavantha and offered an abundance of gifts to him, then came Nala and Neel, thus each and everyone was ready to leave, contemplating upon the magnificent form of Lord, they prostrated before the Lord and bade farewell with teary eyes. Finally, Angadha rose from his seat, his eyes were overflown with tears, with folded hands, he spoke nectar-like words – “Oh! Sarbagya,/omnipresent Lord, Oh! Dheenadhayakara, Oh! Arththabandho, Oh! Kripasindho, Oh! Prabho, I have been under your protection immediately after Vali, my dearest father who left this world. Oh! Prabho, you are the protector of desolate, you have promised that to my father, kindly do not abandon me. Oh! Prabho, you are my Mother, Father, Preceptor, Relative, and companion, where shall I go leaving your lotus feet? Oh! Prabho, I have nothing to do in my home, other than serving your lotus feet, you are most promising to your devotees. Oh! Prabho, I am merely a child who has no knowledge, courage, or strength, I shall do all those menial work at your palace, and cross the mundane existence by mere witnessing your lotus feet.” Saying so, Angadha fell at the lotus feet of Lord Rama, with tears overflowing down the cheeks, and prayed “Oh! Prabho, kindly do not abandon me, protect me, and do not advise me to return to home.”

Chapter - 17– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara Kanda – Rama and younger brothers honored Kapeesa, Lankesha, and the Vanaras with an abundance of gifts

Lord Rama spoke “Oh! Dear Comrades, kindly return to your homes, contemplating upon me and worship me with steadfast devotion, knowing that I am that all-pervasive supreme Bhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva, and return to your homes with the knowledge of Oneness-in-All.” All the Vanaras assumed the form of humans stood gazing at Lord Rama, they have become speechless, transported to a state of bliss. They all stood with folded hands, forgot to speak anything, without blinking their eyes. The compassionate Lord perceived the deep devotion of the Vanaras, he imparted the supreme knowledge of self, and the nature of destructible Prakrithi and indestructible Purusha thus removed the grief of separation of the Vanaras. They could not speak a word, they just stood gazing at the marvelous appearance of Lord Sri Ramachandra. Then, the merciful Lord distributed magnificent jewelry, garments, ornaments, etc.… which was readily carried by Bharatha. The compassionate Lord Rama offered the gifts to Sugrivah/Kapeesa, and Lakshman offered gifts to Lankesha/Vibheeshana at the instruction of the Lord. Finally, Rama noticed Angadha who was reluctant to move from his seat, the merciful Lord perceived the love of Angadha, does not invite him to receive the gifts.

Chapter - 16– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara Kanda – Rama’s nectar-like message to the Vanaras who has assumed the form of humans and served the Lord for six months

The Vanaras assumed the form of humans wrapped up in a state of Bhramanandha, and they were fervently devoted at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, continued to live in Ayodhya for six months, did not even notice the lapse of time. They were so absorbed in the service at the lotus feet of Lord Rama, they have completely forgotten their homes, and beloved ones, like the  Viraktha Santh Mahathma and noble souls who abandon the worldly matters, richness, possession, fame, relatives, children, wife, companion, etc. and live a life in seclusion.  One day, Lord Raghu called out for the Vanaras, all of them obediently stood before the Lord with folded hands and prostrated before him. Lord Rama advised them to take a seat closer to him and began to speak nectar-like words “Oh! Dear comrades, you have been serving me relentlessly, how shall I praise you all for your unflinching devotion? You have abandoned your homes and beloved ones for me, and are engrossed in the service of me. I shall tell you the truth, my Kingdom, my younger brothers, and my consort Devi Janaki, my fortune, wealth, beloved people, and possessions are dear to me, but none of them are dearer as you. It is obvious that every Master is fond of his servants, but I am exceptionally fond of my beloved devotees.”

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Uththara Kanda – Phalashruthi!

Chapter - 15– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara Kanda – Phalashruthi!

Lord Shambhu spoke “Oh! Lakshmipathi, Oh! Sri Ranga, kindly bless us with perpetual devotion at your lotus feet and protect us.” Thus, Umapathi Lord Shambhu praised Lord Sri Ramachandra and returned to his abode Kailash.  Lord Rama instructed his attendants to provide stunningly decorated fortresses for the comfortable stay of the Vanaras and bears arrived in human forms. Sage Kakabhusundi speaks “Oh! Garuda, 1)whoever listens to the glorious crowning ceremony of Lord Sri Ramachandra would get rid of Thapathraya/Adhidheivik, Adhibhauthik, and Adhyathmik, and achieve liberation from repeated births. 2)Whoever listens to the glorious myths describes the splendor of the coronation of Rama as the King of Ayodhya would achieve dispassion/Bairagya, Birakthi, and wisdom/viveka. 3) whoever listens to these glorious myths with a desire to achieve wealth and prosperity would achieve the same, live a blissful life on the Earth, and finally achieve the abode of Lord Sri Ramachandra, which is difficult to attain even for the deities. 4)If the Viraktha,/dispassionate, noble souls listens to the glorious legend of the coronation of Rama would achieve intense devotion, finally achieve the abode of the Lord. Oh! Garuda, I have narrated the legend of Rama according to my knowledge, 5) whoever listens to it would get rid of sufferings of worldly existence, finally achieve liberation from repeated births as well. The perpetual devotion, supreme knowledge/knowledge of self, Virakthi/dispassion are the marvelous ferries to cross the river of ignorance of mundane existence. Oh! Garuda, the people of Kosalapuri was extremely happy in the presence of Rama, every day brought immense joy to their lives. Everyone has intense devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, which was adorned by Lord Shambhu, deities, Sages, and Rishis. During the grand crowning ceremony of Lord Sri Ramachandra, there was an abundance of charities and contributions were made to Bhramans and the mendicants which were beyond description.”

Chapter - 14– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara Kanda – Lord Shambhu praising the splendor of Lord Sri Ramachandra along with Devi Janaki

While the whole crowd was witnessing the glorious coronation ceremony of Rama as King of Ayodhya, the Vandhigana sang in praise of the Lord and disappeared to the abode of Lord Bhrama. Sage Kakabhusundi speaks “Oh! Garuda, Lord Shambhu appeared before Lord of Raghu, his bodily hairs stood upright watching the mesmerizing appearance of Lord Sri Ramachandra along with Devi Vaidhehi, soon he was transported to a state of ecstasy, his voice trailed with various emotions, began to sing in praise of Lord Sri Ramachandra.”

Lord Shambhu eulogizes Lord Sri Ramachandra –

“Hail Lord Rama! Hail Lord Rama Ramana! Oh! Prabho, you are the dispeller of grief and agony of Samsara, you are the protector of souls, Oh! Avadhesha, Oh! Ramesha, kindly protects us. Oh! Prabho, you are the protector of souls from repeated births, you are omnipresent Bhramam personified as the son of King of Kosala, Oh! Lakshmipathi, I shall take shelter at your lotus feet, kindly protect me. Oh! Prabho, you have killed the mighty demon Ravana who has ten heads and twenty arms, and thereby protected the Earth from his atrocities and reduced the burden of the Earth. Oh! Prabho, the dreadful demons were killed in the vicious battle with your powerful arrows, like the swarm of moth burn to ashes in the fire, you have marvelous appearance wielded in bow and arrow, you have the effulgence of Sun which is capable to remove the darkness of impurities such as lust, desire, pride, ego, jealousy, interest in worldly matters and bondage of the Jeeva.  Oh! Prabho, Jeeva is drenched in the impurities of ignorance and arrogance, you are the hunter who pierces the heart of wicked with the powerful arrows, kindly protect the Jeeva who are soaked in the impurities of lust and desires, and keep wandering aimlessly in the wilderness of Samsara. Oh! Hari, Jeeva is swollen with pride, arrogance, illnesses, Jara, grief, anxieties, and fear, due to lack of devotion and faith at your lotus feet, and the Jeeva who driven afar from the devotion to your lotus feet continues to suffer by taking several births in the different Yonis. Whoever driven away from the lotus feet of you are constantly suffering from miseries and troubles, they are wretched and unhappy, continue to drift in the bottomless ocean of worldly existence. The fortunate and noble souls practice devotion, undertake austerities, listen to your endless glories, and serve the Santh, Mahathma selflessly, and keep remembering you gets easily cross the ocean of mundane existence. These fortunate ones are free from the Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, Mamakara, and they are grown out of dualities of happiness and sorrow, joy and grief, good and evil, friends and enemies, etc.. they consider the worldly matters, richness, wealth, money, fame, are mere grass, they do not take pleasure in the company of children, wife, companion, and relatives, etc.. they undertake strict austerities, vows, celibacy, Yoga, Swadhyaya, Sathyam, Dhaya, Shaucham, Kshama, Thithiksha, ARjjavam, Dhanam, Ahimsa, Astheyam, etc..  remain in supreme bliss, and serve your lotus feet. They do not take pleasure in likes or dislikes and keep wandering on the Earth blissfully. Oh! Lord of Raghu, I shall take shelter at your lotus feet, you have been unconquerable, unrestrained in the battlefield, you reside in the lotus-like hearts of Sages and Rishis. Oh! Prabho, Sri Ramachandra, I repeatedly utter your sacred name and prostrate before you. Oh! Prabho, you are the purifier of Jeeva, you are the dispeller of birth and death as well. Oh! Lakshmiramana, who is the storehouse of virtues, valor, and amiability, I shall repeatedly prostrate before you. Oh! Sri Rama, Oh!
