Chapter - 14– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara
Kanda – Lord Shambhu praising the splendor of Lord Sri Ramachandra along with
Devi Janaki
While the whole crowd was witnessing the
glorious coronation ceremony of Rama as King of Ayodhya, the Vandhigana sang in
praise of the Lord and disappeared to the abode of Lord Bhrama. Sage
Kakabhusundi speaks “Oh! Garuda, Lord Shambhu appeared before Lord of Raghu,
his bodily hairs stood upright watching the mesmerizing appearance of Lord Sri
Ramachandra along with Devi Vaidhehi, soon he was transported to a state of ecstasy,
his voice trailed with various emotions, began to sing in praise of Lord Sri
Ramachandra.”
Lord Shambhu eulogizes Lord Sri Ramachandra
–
“Hail Lord Rama! Hail Lord Rama Ramana! Oh!
Prabho, you are the dispeller of grief and agony of Samsara, you are the
protector of souls, Oh! Avadhesha, Oh! Ramesha, kindly protects us. Oh! Prabho,
you are the protector of souls from repeated births, you are omnipresent
Bhramam personified as the son of King of Kosala, Oh! Lakshmipathi, I shall take
shelter at your lotus feet, kindly protect me. Oh! Prabho, you have killed the
mighty demon Ravana who has ten heads and twenty arms, and thereby protected
the Earth from his atrocities and reduced the burden of the Earth. Oh! Prabho,
the dreadful demons were killed in the vicious battle with your powerful arrows,
like the swarm of moth burn to ashes in the fire, you have marvelous appearance
wielded in bow and arrow, you have the effulgence of Sun which is capable to
remove the darkness of impurities such as lust, desire, pride, ego, jealousy,
interest in worldly matters and bondage of the Jeeva. Oh! Prabho, Jeeva is drenched in the
impurities of ignorance and arrogance, you are the hunter who pierces the heart
of wicked with the powerful arrows, kindly protect the Jeeva who are soaked in
the impurities of lust and desires, and keep wandering aimlessly in the wilderness
of Samsara. Oh! Hari, Jeeva is swollen with pride, arrogance, illnesses, Jara,
grief, anxieties, and fear, due to lack of devotion and faith at your lotus feet,
and the Jeeva who driven afar from the devotion to your lotus feet continues to
suffer by taking several births in the different Yonis. Whoever driven away
from the lotus feet of you are constantly suffering from miseries and troubles,
they are wretched and unhappy, continue to drift in the bottomless ocean of
worldly existence. The fortunate and noble souls practice devotion, undertake
austerities, listen to your endless glories, and serve the Santh, Mahathma
selflessly, and keep remembering you gets easily cross the ocean of mundane
existence. These fortunate ones are free from the Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha,
Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, Mamakara, and they are grown out of dualities of
happiness and sorrow, joy and grief, good and evil, friends and enemies, etc..
they consider the worldly matters, richness, wealth, money, fame, are mere
grass, they do not take pleasure in the company of children, wife, companion, and relatives, etc.. they undertake strict austerities, vows, celibacy, Yoga,
Swadhyaya, Sathyam, Dhaya, Shaucham, Kshama, Thithiksha, ARjjavam, Dhanam,
Ahimsa, Astheyam, etc.. remain in supreme
bliss, and serve your lotus feet. They do not take pleasure in likes or
dislikes and keep wandering on the Earth blissfully. Oh! Lord of Raghu, I shall
take shelter at your lotus feet, you have been unconquerable, unrestrained in
the battlefield, you reside in the lotus-like hearts of Sages and Rishis. Oh!
Prabho, Sri Ramachandra, I repeatedly utter your sacred name and prostrate before
you. Oh! Prabho, you are the purifier of Jeeva, you are the dispeller of birth
and death as well. Oh! Lakshmiramana, who is the storehouse of virtues, valor,
and amiability, I shall repeatedly prostrate before you. Oh! Sri Rama, Oh!
Raghunandhana, kindly remove the sense of dualities/ grief and joy, sorrow and
happiness, good and evil, honor and disgrace, etc. Oh! Mahipala, the protector
of Earth, kindly shower your compassionate grace on us.”
