Chapter - 12– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara
Kanda– Lord Sri Ramachandra along with Devi Janaki taken a seat on the
majestic throne of Ayodhya
Devi Janaki was led to the grand pool
arranged with various flowers and rich scents, by her three mothers in law, and
gave her a lovely bath, adorned her delicate limbs with various exquisite ornaments,
carefully attired majestic garments. Thus, Devi Janaki took a seat on the left
of Lord Sri Ramachandra, which resembled the storehouse of beauty and virtues. The
mothers were immensely happy at the sight of the divine couple; thus, they have
earned the fruitfulness of their eyes. Sage Kakabhusundi speaks “Oh! Garuda, at
this auspicious occasion of the grand coronation ceremony, there were all the
deities, Lord Bhrama, Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, celestials, arrived to have a
glimpse of Lord Sri Ramachandra along with Devi Janaki, the celestials arrived
in their magnificent vehicles on the sky.”
Sage Vashishta was transported to a state
of ecstasy watching the marvelousness of Lord Sri Ramachandra along with Devi Janaki,
at once the Sage ordered to bring the majestic throne of Ayodhya embellished
with various precious gems and ornaments, has the effulgence of the Sun, with
all the extravagant detailed work on it. Lord Sri Ramachandra took a seat on
the marvelous throne along with Devi Janaki, the whole crowd overjoyed at the
sight, the host of Sages and Rishis sang in praise of the Lord, the host of
Bhramins uttered the mesmerizing Vedic chants, while the deities from the
heaven cheered “Victory to Lord Sri Ramachandra! Victory to Seethapathi Sri
Ramachandra!”. Sage Vashishta applied the auspicious mark on the forehead of Lord
Ramachandra and instructed the Brahmins to follow the same. The mothers were
transported to a state of bliss, carried a tray full of auspicious ingredients
and earthen lamps waved around the couple, as a part to remove the evil eyes.
On this auspicious occasion, the Bhramanas received an abundance of charities,
and the beggars received immense richness so that they need not beg again. The
deities showered flowers, and the sounds of the kettle drums reverberated all
over the sky, perceiving the Lord of the Universe, Lord Sri Ramachandra along
with Devi Janaki on the majestic throne of Ayodhya.
