Kanda – Rama introduces Lankapathi, Kapeesa, Nala, Neela, Angadha, Jambavantha, and Hanumantha to the preceptors
Devi Kausalya fixed her gaze upon Lord Sri
Ramachandra along with Devi Sita and Lakshman, she was overcome with a sudden
rush of thrill, transported to a state of supreme bliss. Lankapathi
Vibheeshana, Kapeesa Sugriva, Nala, Neela, Angadha, Jambavan, and Hanumantha who
are the storehouse of virtues and valor, assumed the form of humans with a charming appearance. Everyone highly praised the devotion, pure love, and
amiability of Bharatha, the host of
Vanaras praised the virtues and devotion of the people of Ayodhya at the lotus
feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra. Rama instructed his comrades to offer salutations
to his preceptors, and addressed “Dear friends, prostrate before our
preceptors, the illustrious Sage Vashishta and Vamadeva, worshiped by the clan
of Raghu’s, it was the grace of our preceptors, we have won over our enemies of
demons.” Rama introduced the host of Vanaras to the preceptors “Oh! Prabho,
these are my comrades who have assisted me like the barks to cross the ocean of
battle. They have put their lives at risk and battled for me, hence they are
dearer than Bharatha to me.” Everyone was highly pleased to get to know the
host of Vanaras, thus every moment of the people of Ayodhya was supplemented with
happiness and joy.
