Chapter – 224– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda– Rama’s confession to Lakshman about his unique feelings for Janakasutha

The Supreme Lord Rama highly praised the loveliness of Devi Sita in his heart and began to speak to his younger brother “Oh! Lakshman, she is none other than the daughter of King Janaka, for whom the grand Dhanush Yajja was organized. She has accompanied by several female companions to visit the sacred shrine of Goddess Girija, and she’s spreading great effulgence and joy all over the place. My heart was always remained perturbed, but today my heart is agitated at the sight of her marvelous beauty, and God only knows the reason for it. Oh! Brother, my right limbs are quivering as a sign of auspiciousness, the race of Raghu never set an eye on evil, it has been the natural predisposition for several decades now. Oh! Brother, I am confident that my mind has never been perturbed or agitated like this after seeing a woman, I am experiencing that unique feeling after witnessing the loveliness of Janakanandhini, I have never dreamt of a woman in my life. Oh! Lakshman, the pious and noblemen do not run away from the battlefields or set an evil eye on strangers’ wife, or never discourage a penniless.”

Devi Sita recollected the words of Maharishi Narada, instantly she has experienced the rush of love for her consort, her eyes were anxiously searching for a glimpse of her beloved, looked around like a startled female antelope. The jingling noise of her bangles, anklets, and waist ornaments fell in the ears of Rama that grabbed his entire attention, mumbled to himself “sounds like the cupid of Love is gripping the attention of entire Universe with the sounds of small kettle drums” saying so, Rama looked back to the direction where the heart-gripping sounds had been heard from, his eyes have fallen on the stunning beauty of Devi Janaki, his eyes took feast on her loveliness like the Chakora gazing at the full moon. His beautiful long eyes resembled lotus flower petals stood motionless, forgot to blink watching the elegance of Devi Sita. Rama devoured the beauty of Devi Sita with his eyes, admired her loveliness in his heart felt the creator had invested all his skills and the beauty in her. The Vidheha Rajakumari was the epitome of beauty, left the poets dazed to describe her loveliness.”
