Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – The powerful Maya of Mayapathi – The ignorant gets attached to Prapancha of fleeting natured does not take pleasure in Harikatha

Chapter – 109– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – The powerful Maya of Mayapathi – The ignorant gets attached to Prapancha of fleeting natured does not take pleasure in Harikatha

Lord Mahadeva speaks “Oh! Devi, the ignorant Jeeva, drenched in the Mahamoha, impurities of mind, wickedness, lack of devotion and faith in Dharma, or belief or devotion could not perceive the Lord Hari incarnated as Rama is absolute Bhramam. The unfortunate Jeeva soaked in the interest in worldly matters, and infinite Shabdha/sounds, Sparsha/touch, Rasa/taste, Roopa/appearance and Gandha/smell, Ahamkara, Mamakara, lust, ego, pride, jealousy, anger, would get driven afar from the practice of devotion at the lotus feet of Hari, do not take pleasure in the association of Santh, Mahathma, ascetics, who are considered as the reservoir of wisdom and knowledge, these unfortunate Jeeva lack devotion or faith and righteousness, grow without belief in scriptures and Veda. These ignorant Jeevas heart drenched in the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, and Mamakara resembles a dustier mirror, hence they cannot take pleasure in the Ramacharitha or the loveliness of Rama. The Jeeva who have no knowledge of Saguna and Nirguna Bhramam, cannot understand Paramarththa Thaththva, the all-pervasive Paramathma resides as a soul. The unfortunate Jeeva drenched in Harimaya/illusion gets immersed in worldly matters, possession, fame, wealth, richness, money, attachment to wife, children, companion, and relatives, loses consciousness to speak matters of worthy like the insane and drunkards should be avoided for good.”

Chapter – 108– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – The Ramacharitha is a powerful ax that would cut off the wickedness and impurities of mind in the Kali era

Lord Mahadeva speaks “Oh! Devi, Ramakatha is divine cow Kamadhenu, which fulfills all the desires of the worshiper whoever takes pleasure in it. The association of Santh Mahatmas represents the abode of the deities, hence who wouldn’t be interested in it? The legend of Rama would remove delusion and ignorance in the Jeeva, like the sounds of clapping hands scares away the birds. The Ramacharitha is a powerful ax that would cut off the wickedness and impurities of mind in the Kali era. Oh! Girija, carefully listen to the beautiful Sri Ramacharitha/ legends of Rama comprises the birth of supreme Lord Hari as a son of King Dhasharatha and Devi Kaushalya, the various childhood amusements, passionate sports, marvelous legends, endless virtues which were highly eulogized by the Veda and scriptures. Oh! Devi, the Ramakatha is Anantha/eternal as Lord Rama whose virtues are endless, I shall narrate all those legends according to the capacity of my intellect. Oh! Uma, you have raised brilliant questions that were approved by the intellectuals, saints, and Mahatmas. Oh! Bhavani, I don’t approve of your qualms which were uttered under the influence of delusion, and inability to perceive that supreme Bhramam incarnated as the son of King Dasaratha/Awadhakumara.”

Chapter – 107– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Sri Ramacharithamanas is life-giving nectar, would remove the sufferings and grief of Samsara

Lord Shiva speaks “Oh! Parvathi, the grace of Lord Rama, and the legend from the Sri Ramacharitha would remove grief, illusion, sorrows, desires, anxiousness, etc. and it wouldn’t affect you not even in your dreams. Yet, you have raised some of the doubts, which I shall clear right away, and it would benefit the Jeeva whoever listens to it. Oh! Devi, Oh! Girija, the Jeeva whose ears haven’t listened to the glories of Lord Sri Hari is a mere snake-pit. The eyes that do not take pleasure in the loveliness of that supreme Lord Hari, and the association of Santhbhrindh, Bhakthavrindh Mahatmas of Hari is a mere sham as in the feathers of a peacock. The head that does not bow before the lotus feet of Lord Hari or preceptor or ascetics is mere a pumpkin.  The heart that doesn’t melt after listening to the glorious myths of Sri Hari or sprout devotion at the supreme Lord is the Jeevas dead alive. The tongue that does not take pleasure in reciting the glorious names of Lord or reciting the legends of Lord, is mere croaks of the frog. Oh! Devi, Haricharithra, and the various amusements of Lord Hari are life-giving nectar to deities and noble souls, and it would mystify the demons.”

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – The significance of Sri Ramacharitha – It removes the grief and sufferings of worldly existence – Paramarththa Thaththva/Prapancha and all the material matters are destructible, and the soul is indestructible Purusha

Chapter – 106 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – The significance of Sri Ramacharitha – It removes the grief and sufferings of worldly existence – Paramarththa Thaththva/Prapancha and all the material matters are destructible, and the soul is indestructible Purusha

Sage Yajjavalkya speaks “The supreme Lord Mahadeva spend nearly an hour in a state of bliss, soon regained the consciousness, and began to narrate the legend of Rama in extreme joy. The legend of Rama would remove the delusion in the Jeeva, it would remove the misconception about the Prakrithi/destructible material matters, the attachment and interest in worldly matters of impermanent nature, which is the prime cause for sufferings and agony. The Sri Ramacharitha would remove the illusion in the Jeeva, like the rope mistaken as a snake, causes trepidation.  All the material matters/Prapancha/and the infinite Shabdha/sound, Sparsha/touch, Rasa/taste, Roopa/appearance, and Gandha/smell have fleeting nature, and the attachment to these would causes intense grief and agony, and these Pranacha and material matters of Infinite Nama Roopa Dhrihya have impermanent nature as in the dream, and all those Dhrishya would disappear immediately after the person gets out of the state of sleep. I shall prostrate before that supreme Bhramam who incarnated as Lord Sri Ramachandra, and meditate upon that child-like form of Rama and utterance of his name ‘Ram’ would remove the darkness of ignorance, and endless sufferings and sorrows of worldly existence as well. Oh! Girirajakumari, you are the benefactor of the Universe, the home is blessed where the sacred name of ‘Rama’ is reverberated, there is no one as promising as you in this Universe, your inquisitiveness to achieve the bliss of Sri Ramakatha would remove the miseries of the world. It would purify the entire Universe from the impurities of Ahamkara, Mamakara, lust, desire, ego, anger, jealousy, and pride, you are the sincere devote of Lord Raghu, you have enquired about the glorious myths of that Lord which would bring all the auspiciousness to the Universe.”

Chapter – 105– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Devi Bhavani requests to describe the significance of Bhakti Gnana Vairagya – Saguna and Nirgunaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam

Devi Bhavani speaks “Oh! Prabho who is the ocean of mercy, kindly describe the various legends of Rama, how did the Raghuvamsamani/precious gem in the clan of Raghu's returned to his supreme abode with the Praja/people of his kingdom. Oh! Prabho kindly describes the eternal truth in which the enlightened Yogis and Munigans contemplate and remain in the state of supreme bliss. Oh! Prabho, kindly describe the concept of Bhakti, Gnana and Vairagya, and the Saguna and Nirgunaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhrmam. Oh! Prabho, kindly reveal all those which I should have thorough knowledge about the mysteries related to the incarnation of Lord Vishnu as Lord Sri Ramachandra. Oh! Prabho, kindly describe all those which I have forgotten to ask, you are the preceptor of the three worlds, we are innocent Jeevas cannot attain knowledge without your mercy, Oh! Prabho, kindly enlightens the supreme knowledge that was highly eulogized by the Vedas to the ignorant Jeevas like me.” Lord Shiva was highly pleased with the thirst for knowledge of Devi Parvathi, and each and every question were exceptional which could provide welfare to the whole Universe, Lord Mahadeva was extremely delighted to watch Devi Parvathi’s inquisitive nature.  Immediately, Lord Mahadeva who is bliss personified transported to a state of ecstasy, his bodily hairs stood upright in joy, eyes welled up in tears, all those memories and pastimes of Lord Sri Ramachandra flashed on his mind, contemplated upon the marvelous appearance of Lord Sri Ramachandra wielded in bow and arrow, immersed in Paramanandha/supreme bliss.

Chapter – 104– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Devi Bhavani appeals to Lord Shambhu to describe the birth and various amusements of Lord Sri Ramachandra

Devi Bhavani repeatedly prostrated before Lord Shambhu and stood with folded hands before Shambhu “Oh! Prabho, kindly narrate the glorious legend of Prabhu Sri Ramachandra, which was highly eulogized by the Veda and scriptures.  Women are considered impure by birth, even though do not deserve to achieve deep knowledge in Paramarththa Thaththva, kindly consider me as your sincere servant by word, deed, and mind and share it with me.  The supreme ascetic would not mind sharing the impenetrable truth with the Jeeva who is drenched in sufferings of worldly existence, therefore whoever in agony and miseries are deserved to get alleviated from the sorrows of Samsara. Oh! Prabho, kindly be gracious and describe the endless virtues of Lord Sri Ramachandra, thereby remove my ignorance and misconception that mounted grief in me. Why did the Nirgunaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam assume as the Sagunaswaroopa Sri Ramachandra? Oh! Prabho kindly describes the splendor of the clan of Raghu's and various childhood amusements of Lord Sri Ramachandra. Oh! Prabho, kindly describe the celestial wedding of Lord Rama with Devi Janaki, why did the Lord Sri Rama, along with Devi Sita and Lakshman leave the Kingdom of Ayodhya? Oh! Prabho kindly narrates the life of Rama in the dense wood of Dhandakavana, and the incidents that took place while living in the forest, and finally the vicious battle between Rama and the demon Ravana of the Kingdom of Lanka. Oh! Sukhasheela, Oh! Shankara kindly describes various passionate sports of that Lord Sri Ramachandra and the coronation ceremony of Rama as the King of Ayodhya.”

Chapter – 103– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – The beginning of Sri Ramacharitha – The brilliant queries of Goddess Bhavani

Devi Bhavani reverentially prostrated before Lord Shambhu, and began to speak with folded hands “Oh! Prabho, why did the supreme Bhramam incarnate as the son of King Dhasharatha? If so, why did he act like ordinary Jeeva lamenting over the grief of separation from his wife? Oh! Prabho, I have got perplexed to watch the supreme Bhramam acting like ordinary Jeeva, hence what I have heard from you and what I have seen were two different things, which made me so confused. Oh! Prabho, you have enlightened me with the knowledge of the all-pervasive supreme Bhramam/Sath which is indestructible Purusha, pure, unblemished, changeless, free from attributes, afflictions, has neither birth nor death. Oh! Prabho, kindly remove my misapprehensions and ignorance. Oh! Prabho, I have witnessed the glory of that Rama which was beyond comparison and description, in my previous birth and I was desperate to share that with you. Yet, my mind was wavering, hence I had to reap the fruit of my ignorance. Oh! Lord, I have few more doubts lingering in me, which I would like to get cleared from you, Oh! Prabho, kindly be generous to me, request you with folded palms, you have taught me about that supreme Bhramam several times, in different ways, still, I could not get into my mind, kindly be patient and describe the glorious legends of Lord Sri Ramachandra, lately I have developed intense desire to listen to the various amusements of that supreme Bhramam incarnated as Lord Sri Ramachandra for the welfare of the Universe. Oh! Bhujangabhushana, kindly narrate the endless virtues of Lord Sri Rama who was born as Awadhakumara/prince of Kingdom of Ayodhya.”
