Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – Prayers to Lord Shambhu & Goddess Bhavani

Chapter – 16 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Prayers to Lord Shambhu & Goddess Bhavani

The wise admire the prose and poetries of lucid, describing the nature of the spotless character, that would highly appreciate by even the opponents forgetting their animosity. I do not have the skill or knowledge to compose that kind of poetry, hence I repeatedly pray to those wise, intellectuals, and the Santh, Mahathma who resemble lovely pairs of swans in the lake of Manasarovar, kindly be gracious towards my child-like composition written out of pure love and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra.

I shall prostrate before illustrious Maharishi Valmiki who composed Ramayana in which he has given exemplary description about the demon Khara and Dhooshana who represent impurities. I shall prostrate before the four branches of Veda and six auxiliaries of it/ Vedanga, which highly eulogizes the glories of Raghunandan, the delight of the clan of Raghu.  I shall prostrate before Lord Bhrama who is the creator of the Santh, Mahathma, resembles the moon, nectar, and Kamadhenu and the wicked/demons resemble toxic poison/Varuni in the Samsara. I shall prostrate before the deities, twice-born/Bhoodevatha, wise, intellectuals, and the presiding deities in the nine planets. I shall pray with folded hands, kindly bless me to accomplish my fair desires to compose the glorious legend Sri Ramacharitha.

I shall prostrate before Goddess Saraswathi who symbolizes excellence in speech, and the sacred river Ganga descended from heaven to purify the souls on the Earth. Goddess Saraswathi gets highly pleased with the recitation of her sacred names and glories thereby remove the illusion and ignorance in the Jeeva, and the river Ganga cleanse the Ahamkara and Mamakara, lust, desires, ego, jealousy, pride, anger in the Jeeva with the holy dip in her water. I shall prostrate before Lord Shambhu and Goddess Bhavani, I shall prostrate my parents and preceptors, I shall prostrate before my friends, devotees of Lord Sri Ramachandra, distressed Jeeva, and people who are engaged in the selfless service to Lord Seetha Rama and his devotees are considered as highest benefactors of Tulsidas.  I shall repeatedly prostrate before Lord Hara and Goddess Girija, for their compassion and kindness upon me to recite the glories of Lord Hari and Hara, although I am helpless Jeeva born in the wickedness of the Kali era, with no skill or intelligence whatsoever, have no politeness or manners. The Lord of Uma/Umapathi has always been promising to me, hence I shall make the composition of Sri Ramacharitha most charming and joyful to the listeners and readers. I shall contemplate upon Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati seeking their constant supervision in my humble initiative to compose the glorious Sri Ramacharitha. I am certain that the perpetual blessings of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi would make the composition spread luster as the moon surrounded by the stars. Whoever read or write or listen to this glorious Sri Ramacharitha with pure love and devotion would get rid of the impurities of mind such as Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, the interest in worldly matters and the impurities of the Kali era, the  interest in Shabdha/sound, Sparsha/touch, Rasa/taste, Roopa/appearance, and Gandha/smell, thereby get rid of sufferings and grief of Samsara, and achieve the fruitfulness of life.

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – Sri Ramacharitha is the silk thread woven on the ordinary clothing that would seize the attention of all

Chapter – 15 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Sri Ramacharitha is the silk thread woven on the ordinary clothing would seize the attention of all

There were several illustrious Rishis, Sages, scholars, Maharishi Vedavyasa, and intellectuals have sung in praise of the virtues of Lord Sri Ramachandra, hence it would be highly favorable for me to describe the splendor of Lord of Raghu. The compositions of these eminent scholars resemble the Kings construct a huge bridge across the river, that would be gifted even to the ants cross the river. I shall prostrate before the illustrious Maharishi Vedavyasa, and Sages who have sung in praise of Lord Sri Ramachandra, and pray to shower their eternal grace upon me. I shall prostrate before the scholars and intellectuals of the Kali era, and I shall prostrate before all those poets who were sung in praise of Lord Sri Ramachandra, and the scholars of the superior class of twice-born who have wide knowledge in Sanskrit, and the poets strive hard in the past and the scholars yet to come into the scene. I shall earnestly pray to them to offer a particular boon that Sri Ramacharitha written out of my love of devotion should achieve the greatest admiration among the pious and noble souls.   Usually the work of unknown poets would remain overlooked and discarded by the intellectuals and scholars who prefer to take notice of prose and poetry of charm and skills, like the sacred river Ganga is highly admired as Thrividha Thapaharini among the rivers, even though the fame of Lord Sri Ramachandra is indescribable and matchless, I am scared of the absence of my knowledge and poetic skills. I am certain that the grace of all those poets in the past, present, and future would make the Sri Ramacharitha renowned, like the silk thread woven on the ordinary clothing, would definitely seize the attention of all.

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – Jeevathma is Paramathma – The all-pervasive supreme Bhramam is indescribable, and the wise take shelter in it achieve commendable rewards

Chapter – 14 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Jeevathma is Paramathma – The all-pervasive supreme Bhramam is indescribable, and the wise take shelter in it achieve commendable rewards

Goddess Saraswathi symbolizes the excellence of speech, the thousand tongued Adishesha, the mighty Lord Mahadeva, Lord Bhrama, and all the Agamashathra and scriptures singing in praise of the virtues of Lord Sri Ramachandra, and eulogizes as ‘Nethi, Nethi/Na: Ithi Na: Ithi/incomparable. They are profusely aware of the splendor of the Supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra, hence they do not want to refrain from singing in praise of him, described as the all-pervasive supreme Bhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva which is the source of the functioning of the mind, intellect, Prana, Ahamkara, Karma, and Gnanendhriyas, etc., is the essence of the Universe and its living beings, pure, unblemished, changeless, free from affliction, and has neither birth nor death, beyond words and intellect, he symbolizes Bhakti, Gnana, Vairagya, he is the source of creation, preservation, and destruction of the Universe, He is Aja/have no birth, Amara/immortal, and has supreme effulgence and various incarnations, he is supreme consciousness, eternal truth, and bliss. He is Vishwaroopi Bhagavan, has personified as Lord Sri Ramachandra to perform impossible tasks, thereby restore righteousness, destroy the wicked demons and reduce the burden of the Earth. He is too kind and compassionate to his devotees, reinstates Dharma, protects the distressed Jeeva and devotees who have taken shelter at his lotus feet. He is mighty Lord of Raghu who symbolizes the eternal truth, hence the intellectuals and wise take shelter at his lotus feet and take great pleasure in singing in praise of his endless glories achieves commendable rewards. I shall reverentially bow down at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramacandhra, and sing in praise of his virtues, our ancient Sages have already sung an abundance in praise of Parmathma Lord Hari, therefore I shall follow their path to achieving the fruitfulness of my life.

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – Sri Ramacharitha is the garland of beautiful pearls adorned on the chest of Lord Sri Ramachandra and in the hearts of Mahathmas

Chapter – 13 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Sri Ramacharitha is the garland of beautiful pearls adorned on the chest of Lord Sri Ramachandra and in the hearts of Mahathmas

The beautiful pearls like the ideas praising the glorious legend of Lord Sri Ramachandra, interconnected with the thread of love and devotion resembles garland of marvelous poetry, it would adore on the chest of Lord Ramachandra and the hearts of noble-souls, hence whoever read or listen to it would achieve an abundance of propitiousness. The evilness of Kali era has taken away all the auspiciousness, belief in scriptures and Veda, Agamashasthra, Jeevas are drenched in Ahamkara and Mamakara, reluctant to follow the Dharma, Sathyam, Dhaya, Shaucham, Astheyam, Bhramacharya, Ahimsa, Shama Dhama, austerities, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara, etc. to get rid of grief and sufferings of Samsara, Vishayijeevas have the appearance of Swan follows the lifestyle of crow, Jeevas are forced to commit various sins and driven afar from the Vedic way of living ultimately has become the embodiment of sins and falsehood, Vishayi Jeeva claims themselves as the devotees of Rama are  not freed from jealousy, anger, lust, desire, ego, pride, Ahamkara and Mamakara. I do not take pride in the composition of Sri Ramacharitha which is written out of pure love and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, I am not a poet or a scholar, I have no knowledge of poetic skills, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, construction of words, etc. All I have written the glories of Lord Sri Ramachandra/Raghupathi Charithra, according to the capacity of my intellect, that could remove the impurities of mind, Ahamkara, Mamakara, interest in worldly matters of destructible nature, attachment to material matters and people that have impermanent nature causes constant grief and sufferings,  it destroys the sufferings and grief of Samsara and Samsarachakra. I am not intelligent or skilled, hence feel shy to write the vast ocean like the glories of Lord Sri Ramachandra, still I am taking a humble initiative to describe them, like the cotton balls get blown out the shoot with the help of the wind.

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – Sri Ramacharitha removes the evil effects of the Kali era and the sufferings and grief of worldly existence

Chapter – 12 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Sri Ramacharitha removes the evil effects of the Kali era and the sufferings and grief of worldly existence

The Tulsikatha Sri Ramacharitha is a marvelous legend of Lord Sri Ramachandra resembles the water current of sacred Ganga, with its beautiful twist and turns, would destroy the evil effects of the Kali era, and provides all the auspicious to the worshiper. Whoever listens or read would achieve the serenity of mind, and get rid of redundant thoughts, impurities of jealousy, anger, pride, lust, and desire, Ahamkara, and Mamakara, interest in the worldly matter, same as the remembrance of Bhava smeared in sacred ashes purify the intellect of the Jeeva. I am certain that whoever listens or recite the Ramacharitha would achieve an abundance of propitiousness, like the grasses grown closer to the sandalwood in Mount Malaya achieves the rich fragrance of the Sandalwood. The milk obtained from the black colored cow is equally nutritious and rich as the cows of different colors, hence the pious and noble-souls will take great pleasure in my composition of Ramacharitha that describe the splendor and virtues of Lord Rama and Devi Sita, though it lacks poetic skills, charm, and grammar.

The precious gem would capture the attention of all when it is attached to the crown or ornaments, the truth is as long as the ruby on the forehead of the serpent, pearl on the forehead of elephant, or gems hidden in the mountain would remain unnoticed. The beauty of these precious gems get noticed and admired only when it is adorned by the King or attractive woman in their crown and ornaments respectively, otherwise it won’t serve the purpose at all. It is the same as the beautiful poem taken birth in the mind of a person with the grace of Goddess Saraswathi who hurries from the abode of Lord Bhrama initiates the poet to pour out his idea, get noticed and admired when it’s brought out in the open. The intellectuals and scholars thoroughly aware that the fatigue of several births in the Samsara/Samsara Thapa would disappear immediately after a dip in the glorious Ramacharitha, hence the wise ones take shelter in the glorious myths of Lord Hari and get rid of sufferings and sorrows of Samsara, impurities of Kali era, such as Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya. Goddess Saraswathi who is the Goddess of speech would repent and get ashamed listening to the Vishayijeeva singing in praise of the worldly matters and infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya of Samsara. The heart of wise and intellectuals Mahathmas are propitious as a vast ocean, and their poetic skills resemble shells that hold precious pearls and Goddess Saraswathi resemble the star Swathi which is the source of pearl, the flow of marvelous ideas like the rain would benefit the construction of stunning garland like poetry.

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – The devoutness of Sri Ramacharithra to protect the Jeeva from the grief of Samsara/worldly existence and Samsara Chakra/repeated births

Chapter – 11– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – The devoutness of Sri Ramacharithra to protect the Jeeva from the grief of Samsara and Samsara Chakra

The Sri Ramacharithra composed out of pure love and devotion may lack the qualities of excellent poetry and charm, but it has an abundance of meritorious rewards which the whole world has known about it. I am certain that people of unbiased nature would listen to it. The Ramacharithra describes the various sacred names of Lord Raghu which is the essence of Veda and scriptures. The sacred name ‘Rama’ is Tharakamanthra constantly recited by Lord Mahadeva who is the beloved consort of Goddess Uma, the destroyer of the demons of Tripura.  Sri Ramanama is highly propitious, removes the impurities of mind such as Ahamkara and Mamakara, sufferings, and grief of Samsara, and protects the Jeeva from the repeated cycles of Samsara as well. I believe any poetry or prose that has possessed beauty and excellence in multitude, but no word mentioned about Lord Sri Ramachandra would be the same as an attractive young female adorned in loads of ornaments, but no clothes on her body. The noble-souls are like the honey bees who take great pleasure at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra would relish the Ramacharithra even though it lacks poetic skills, and charm written by an ordinary poet and who have failed to achieve devoutness being in the association of Santh, Mahatmas? These ascetics are like the rich fragrant wood that emits an alluring aroma while burning. Although my composition is unappealing, lacks poetic skills, but it has the fresh alluring rich fragrant aroma of the legend of Lord Sri Ramachandra, that could alleviate the grief and sufferings of worldly existence, provide all kinds of auspiciousness, and protects the Jeeva from hurling from the unfathomable ocean of Samsara.
