Chapter – 1– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sundara Kanda– The King of ocean advises Mount Mainka to receive Kapishwara with great respect
I shall prostrate before the supreme Lord
Sri Ramachandra who is Bhoopalachoodamani/Lord of Kings on the Earth, born in
the illustrious clan of Raghus. He is extremely compassionate and kind to his
devotees, he has a pleasing personality, he is supreme Bhramam, which is free
from impurities, unblemished, pure, changeless, eternal, and the ultimate
source of Nirvana/renunciation. He is worshiped by Lord Bhrama, Lord Shambhu,
Adishesha/Phaneendra, he is eulogized by Veda and scriptures. He is the
omnipresent supreme Lord Rama, dispeller of darkness of ignorance and sins, he
is Jagadheeshwara, he is the preceptor of the deities, personified as Rama, he
is supreme Lord Sri Hari personified as the son of King Dasaratha.
Oh! Raghupathe, I shall tell you the truth,
Oh! Prabho, I have no desires in my heart, you are the knower
of all, you are that supreme Bhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva. Oh!
Raghupungavah, kindly provide me intense devotion at your lotus feet/Ananya
Bhakti, so that I would get rid of impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha,
Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, and Mamakara.
Oh! Vathathmaja/son of Lord Vayu, I shall
repeatedly prostrate before you. Oh! Prabho, you are the ardent devotee of Lord
Sri Ramachandra, you have immense might, valor, and courage, you have great
stature resembles Mount Sumeru/golden mountain, you are wisdom personified, you
are the destroyer of wicked demons, you are the storehouse of virtues, and you
are the commander of Vanara.
Hanuman was extremely delighted to get
inspired by the elderly Jambavan, he bowed before all the Vanaras and
Jambavan and spoke in great enthusiasm “Oh! Dear friends, I shall keep myself
away from fruits, rooted vegetables, and leaves, until and unless I meet Devi
Sita and receive a message from her. I am certain that I will complete the task
of Lord Sri Ramachandra and return successfully.” Thus, Hanuman set out to cross
the mighty ocean contemplating upon the supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra. He took a
flight to the beautiful hill, and took a seat on the huge hill situated on the
seashore, again and again, he contemplated upon the supreme Lord Rama and Lord
Vayu, he took a giant leap on the sky with all his might. The hill on which he
was standing was crushed under his feet while he was taking a flight to the sky,
he had the speed of a powerful arrow released from the bow of Rama. The presiding
deity of the ocean eulogized Mount Mainaka, and advised to create a pause on the
journey of Hanuman who is the emissary of Lord Rama so that he can relax for a
while and get rid of the exhaustion of long flight.
