Maharishi Narada's visit to the abode of Lord Vishnu

Maharishi Yajjavalkhya speaks “Oh! Bharadhwaja, listen to an interesting thing happened after the penance of Maharishi Narada, whatever happens only at the will of that supreme Lord Hari. Maharishi Narada arrived in Bhrama Loka and narrated all that happened in Himalaya to his father Lord Bhrama was advised the same. Once, Maharishi Narada with his Veena singing in praise of the Supreme Lord Hari who is eulogized by Veda arrived in the milky ocean. Ramapathi received Maharishi Narada with great reverence and offered him a seat. The Supreme Lord, who is the Lord of living and non-living things, began to speak “Oh! Munishwara, you have visited my abode after so long and showered your grace upon me.” Maharishi Narada explained all that happened in Himalaya while conducting penance. Lord Hari’s Maya is extremely powerful will not spare even a single creature in the Universe. Lord Hari replied with a soft smile “Oh! Mune, remembering your glories would remove all that desires, lust, and pride. Oh! Mune, people who have no wisdom or intellect, sense of abandonment, undergoes the influence of Maya, you have intense will power and power of celibacy, therefore Kamadeva cannot harm you.” Maharishi Narada replied with a little pride “Oh! Prabho, all that happened at your mercy.” The supreme Lord Hari understood that Devarishi is under the weight of pride like a huge tree, decided to uproot it because it is the promise of that supreme Lord Hari to his passionate devotees, he decided to perform an amusement and remove the pride in Maharishi Narada.  Devarishi prostrate before Lord Hari and left the Vaikundam. Soon, Lakshmipathi instructed Devi Maya and I shall narrate those interesting incidents to you.”



Lord Hari instructed his Maya to create a magnificent city with huge and beautiful fortresses excels beauty of Vaikunda. There were several attractive women and lived in that city, they had the appearance of Devi Rathi and Manmantha. King Sheelanidhi was ruled that city, had countless wealth, possession of horses, elephants, a great number of the army of men, etc.  He had huge wealth excels in the wealth of hundreds of Indra.  Sheelanidhi represents wealth, power, courage, virtues, and loveliness; he had a daughter Vishwamohini, who has the appearance of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who was none other the Maya of supreme Lord Hari. Vishwamohini was the epitome of beauty and virtues, was beyond description. The Swayamvara of the Vishwamohini was declared all over the city, many kings were present in the assembly, Maharishi Narada arrived in the city and enquired the people about the festivities, finally arrived in the stunning palace of  Sheelanidhi. The King received Devarishi with great respect and offered him a seat. He instructed female attendants to bring his daughter Vishwamohin.  The King spoke “Oh! Devarishi, Oh! Prabho, kindly describe the virtues and weaknesses of my daughter.”
