The Lord Kamadeva with the flag of fish accompanied by his emissaries arrived in Mount Himalaya.  As usual Lord Indra was alarmed felt danger to his throne, the people who are swollen with pride, lust, money, and desires always have the fear of losing them like a greedy crow. The shameless Lord Indra got scared of the penance of Maharishi Narada like the jackal holding a bone on its mouth gets scared at the sight of the lion and dash off from the fear of losing it. Manmatha arrived near the hermitage of Maharishi Narada and created Vasantha Rithu with his magical powers, as a result, the entire forest and its trees filled with flowers of rich alluring fragrances, Cuckoos sang beautifully, honey bees started buzzing all around, cool rays of wind carried that rich fragrance of the flowers all over the Himalaya, it created the feeling of lust and desires in all the creatures. The young and beautiful women, celestial Apsaras were besieged with lust, engaged in playing flower balls, and sang beautifully, Kamadeva used various tricks with the help of his emissaries to put a halt to the penance of Maharishi Narada.  Alas! None of these lustful activities were disturbed the penance of Maharishi Narada. Kamadeva felt disappointed and got scared of his life. He understood that the individual who is under the protection of Ramapathi would never get harmed by his tricks. Kamadeva regretted his act, with extreme fear, approached Maharishi Narada, and took shelter at his feet and begged for forgiveness. Maharishi Narada was not angry at all, he pacified Kamadeva and sends him back. Kamadeva once again prostrated before Maharishi Narada and returned to Indra. He arrived in Indraloka and described all that happened and the graciousness of Maharishi Narada. All the deities were pleased with Maharishi Narada and highly appreciated him and prostrated before Lord Hari. Maharishi Narada had great pride in his victory over the Kamadeva went to meet Lord Shiva; and he explained all those incidents to Lord Shankara. Lord Mahesha advised Maharishi Narada “Oh! Maharishi, I request you not to describe the entire incident to Lord Hari, make sure it remains secret within you.” Even though Shambhu advised Devarishi for his goodness, but he did not take them in the right spirit.
