Chapter – 11– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Ayodhya Kanda– The deities worship Devi Sarada at the news of the coronation ceremony of Rama

Sage Yajjavalkya speaks “ Oh! Mune, at that very moment, Lakshman entered into Rama’s chamber and greeted him with lots of love, and Rama, the delight of the Raghu clan received his younger brother with sweet words, like the freshly bloomed lily in the moonlight. The sounds of divine music instruments reverberated in the whole city, the celebration began for the upcoming coronation ceremony of Rama, the joy of the people of Ayodhya was beyond description. Everyone prayed for Bharatha’s timely return from his maternal uncle’s Kingdom on the auspicious occasion and spoke to one another “Will Bharatha achieve the fruitfulness of his eyes watching the coronation of Rama?” In every nook and corner of the city, street, and Bazar, people have gathered and discussed the upcoming celebration “When will be the auspicious hour begins? Which deity shower the grace on us to envisage Lord Rama along with Devi Sita seated on the golden throne of Ayodhya? When will we get fulfilled the long-cherished wish to see Rama as the King of Ayodhya?” and they impatiently waited for the daylight. The wicked and deceitful prayed for a mishap so that the joy of the people of the Kingdom would vanish because they did not enjoy the happiness of the people of Ayodhya, like the owl, gets troubled with the sunlight, and the moonlight is hated by the thieves. At that moment, the deities appealed to Goddess Sarada, prostrated at her lotus feet and worshiped her, sincerely prayed to her again and again.

Sage Vashishta felt immensely happy listening to the pleasing words of Lord of Raghu, he praised Rama and spoke “Oh! Rama, you are the ornament of the Raghu clan, the illustrious clan of wise and intellectuals.” Sage continued to praise the virtues, amiability, kindness, compassion, and noble disposition of Rama; at a certain point his voice broke out of a sudden rush of emotions “Oh! Rama, King Dhasharatha made a decision to perform your coronation ceremony, so that you would achieve the regime of the country. Oh! Son, you should strictly observe austerities, so that the deities get highly pleased and provide an abundance of auspiciousness and welfare to you and your Kingdom and its people.”  Sage Vashishta returned to the palace to meet the King,  while Rama felt uneasy and murmured “My beloved brothers Bharatha, Lakshman, and Shathrughna was born and raised together, we have dined and slept together, we have performed childhood amusements, and some of the sixteen ceremonies prescribed in the Veda such as ear piercing, Mundan/tonsuring, sacred thread ceremony, and wedding ceremonies together, I feel unfair to perform the coronation ceremony all alone without my beloved brothers, as I was born as heir to the throne.” May the kindness, truthfulness, and compassion of the Lord Sri Ramachandra drive away the deceitfulness in his devotees.

The queens were raptured in various emotions, could not control their happiness, soon they began the preparation of the collection of Mangaladhravya in great excitement.
