Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – The splendor of Sri Ramanama – Lord Mahadeva/Avinashi achieved immortality with the recitation of Ramanama

Chapter – 26 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – The splendor of Sri Ramanama – Lord Mahadeva/Avinashi achieved immortality with the recitation of Ramanama

The supreme Lord Mahesha composed a hundred crores of verses praising the splendor of Lord Sri Ramachandra and it was equally divided among the deities, humans, and demons, finally, all that he much preferred to keep it with him was the sacred syllable ‘Ra and Ma’, therefore Lord Bhrama and Lord Rama highly eulogize the graciousness of Lord Mahadeva who is the bestower of boons. Lord Shambhu achieved immortality/Avinashi, with the constant recitation of Sri Ramanama, as a result the toxic poison like Kalakoot turned out an ornament on his neck. Lord Mahadeva is the storehouse of virtues and auspiciousness, even though decorated in an inauspicious garland of skulls. The illustrious Sages, Sanakadhis, Siddha, Muni, Jogi, achieves Bhramasukha/Bhramanandha/supreme bliss with the constant recitation of Ramanama. Maharishi Narada enlightens the Jagath/Universe about the Namaprathapa/devoutness of Nama, he is beloved of Lord Hari and Lord Hara, spreading the Bhakti/devotion and Ramanama.  The child-devotee Prahladha achieved the grace of Lord Hari with the constant recitation of the sacred name and became one of the jewels among the ardent devotees/Bhakta Shiromani.  The little child Dhruva who was humiliated by his stepmother Suruchi, immediately abandoned the home and conducted extreme penance at the instruction of Maharishi Narada in the Madhuvana, achieved the grace of supreme Lord Hari, attained the highest of the honor ‘pole star Dhruva’. The Pavanasutha Hanuman achieved the nearness of Lord Rama with his firm devotion and selfless service to Rama. Hence, the Sri Ramanama is highly propitious to the devotees whoever taken shelter in it, the twice-born Ajamila, Ganika/prostitute, the untamed elephant Gajendra, became staunch devotees of Lord, achieved liberation with the constant recitation of Ramanama. Therefore, I am incompetent to describe the glory and the splendor of practice of recitation of Ramanama which is beyond words.

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – Sri Ramanama Mahima - whoever taken shelter in the Sri Ramanama won’t experience grief not even in their dreams

Chapter – 25 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Sri Ramanama Mahima - whoever taken shelter in the Sri Ramanama won’t experience grief not even in their dreams

The scriptures highly speak about the recitation of Sri Ramanama and Ramanama Mahima, the Bheel Yuvathi Shabari who is famous for her pure love and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra achieved liberation with the mere recitation of the sacred Sri Ramanama. The Pakshiraj Jatayu who fought against Ravana while abducting Devi Sita was badly wounded, left mortal coil on the lap of Lord Sri Rama reciting his name, thus attained liberation from the Samsara.  The Lord protected all those who have taken shelter in him and his Nama. Sugriva who was hiding in the dense forest in fear of Bali lost Kingdom, and his wife, took shelter in Rama, eventually regained lost glories and Kingdom.  Vibheeshana the younger brother to Ravana was humiliated and driven out of Lanka took shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, was later crowned as the King of Lanka. The army of Vanaras and bears who have taken shelter in the Sri Ramanama and constructed a mighty bridge across the vast ocean at the instruction of Rama. All those huge stones and rocks written the Ramanama on it heaved to the ocean were floated on the water and formed a colossal bridge across the ocean. Thus, the army of Vanaras and bears Vibheeshana along with the Rama and Lakshman crossed the mighty ocean, battled against Ravana and annihilated the entire clan of demon, returned with Devi Sita to the Kingdom of Ayodhya. The illustrious Rishis and Sages have sung in praise of the valor of Rama, and the sincere servants of Rama, the army of Vanaras, bear fondly remembered the miracle of the Sri Ramanama recited with pure love and devotion. Hence, whoever taken shelter in the Sri Ramanama won’t experience grief not even in their dreams.

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – Nama/name is superior to Nami/appearance – Sri Ramanama removes the impurities of the Kali era

Chapter – 24 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Nama/name is superior to Nami/appearance – Sri Ramanama removes the impurities of the Kali era

It is my sincere effort to explain how the Nama/name would provide the easiest access to Nami/appearance. I believe the Nama is superior to Nami, whoever taken shelter in the Nama have achieved all kinds auspiciousness, I shall explain them briefly. The Supreme Lord Vishnu personified as Lord Sri Ramachandra to provide welfare to his devotees and pious souls, reduce the burden of Mother Earth, and destroy the wicked and arrogant demons, he has protected all those who have taken shelter in his Nama, thus with the simple gesture of repetition of his Nama, the noble-souls achieved an abundance of piousness. Gautama Pathni Devi Ahalya who was cursed to become a rock for her mischievousness, waited for several years reciting Ramanama finally got relieved from the curse at the touch of dust particles from the feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra. Further, Lord Rama killed the female demon Thadaka/Sukethu Sutha, at the instruction of Sage Vishwamithra, thus she got liberation from the grief of Samsara, moreover all those demons in the association of Thataka got relieved from the Samsara. The mere recitation of the Ramanama removes the darkness of ignorance, and the grief of Samsara, like the powerful rays of the sun remove the darkness of the night. Rama restored peace in the Dhandakavana by annihilating the demons who troubled the Rishis and Sages in the forest, thus while returning to the Kingdom of Ayodhya, visited the Kingdom of Mithila at the instruction of his preceptor, broken the illustrious Shivadhanus and got wedded to Devi Sita, the mere recitation of Ramanama would dispel the fear of death and purifies the mind. Lord Sri Rama restored peace in the world by destroying the wicked demons, I strongly believe that the recitation of Sri Ramanama would remove all the impurities of the Kali era too.

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – Sri Ramanama is the easiest way to achieve the Saguna and Nirguna Bhramam- Prakrithi and the material matters have fleeting nature, hence the attachment to those impermanent nature cannot provide permanent bliss

Chapter – 24 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Sri Ramanama is the easiest way to achieve the Saguna and Nirguna Bhramam - Prakrithi and the material matters have fleeting nature, hence the attachment to those impermanent nature cannot provide permanent bliss

The liberated souls/Viraktha Jeeva who have no interest in worldly matters, lust or desires, free from the impurities of the mind takes up the practice of recitation of Ramanama and meditation, achieve immense pleasure like the fishes in the water, keep splashing with limitless joy. The Saguna Bhramaswaroopa/incarnation of Rama, Krishna, etc. and Nirgunaswaroopa/Athman, which is difficult to perceive, is beyond description or comparison, hence I feel the Sri Ramanama is the easiest way to achieve that Saguna as well as Nirgunaswaroopa Paramathma Paramabhramam reside as soul in the Jeeva which is inseparable from the Prakrithi/essential five elements. Saguna Bhramam and Nirgunabhramam are equally powerful like the fire hidden in the wood, all the wood possess a mighty fire in it, hence the Nama/recitation of Sri Ramanama provides easy access to the all-pervasive unattainable Sacchidhanandha Swaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam which is omnipresent, free from impurities, the grief of dualities, has neither birth nor death. The all-pervasive indestructible supreme Bhramam is eternal truth, changeless, and absolute bliss. The Prakrithi, and all those material matters of infinite Nama, Roopa, Dhrishya, Shabdha, Sparsha, Rasa, Gandha are destructible, the supreme Bhramam resides as the soul is pure, and indestructible represents eternal bliss. The constant recitation of Sri Ramanama, the practice of austerities, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara, meditation and contemplation, Shamadhamadhi, bring the Jeeva closer to the Sacchidhanandhaghana Swaroopa Paramathma, thereby achieve utmost serenity which is the state free from impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, Mamakara, interest in worldly matters, free from redundant thoughts, the grief of dualities, ultimately experience the eternal bliss. The Prakrithi and the material matters have fleeting nature, hence the attachment to those impermanent nature cannot provide permanent bliss.

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – Sri Ramanama is the Kalimala Harini – The one and only way to get rid of the sufferings of Samsara and Samsarachakra

Chapter – 23 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Sri Ramanama is the Kalimala Harini – The one and only way to get rid of sufferings of Samsara and Samsarachakra

The Ramanama serves the purpose of Manideepa that spread the brilliance all around, and removes the darkness of ignorance in the Jeeva. It purifies the intellect, removes the impurities of lust, desire, ego, jealousy, pride, and anger, Ahamkara and Mamakara. The Yogis and Mahatmas get rid of interest in worldly matters of impermanent nature, Vishayavisha/toxic poison like interest in material matters and attachments, and constantly recite the Ramanama. These Yogis and Mahatmas are Viraktha, grown dispassionate with the practice of austerities, contemplation and meditation, remain in a supreme state of bliss always. They perceive the Sacchidhanandha Swaroopa Paramathma Paramambhramam/Oneness-in-all, which is pure, unblemished, changeless, eternal, free from afflictions, and keep themselves free from grief and sorrows of Samsara. The Sadhaka/seeker of truth, follows the Santh, Mahatmas and sincerely undertake austerities, vows, Celibacy, Shama, Dhama, Sathyam, Dhaya, Dhanam, Shaucham, Astheyam, Ahimsa, Arjjavam, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara, meditation, and contemplation, etc. and achieve the fruitfulness of life. Gradually, they achieve the supernatural powers known an Ashtasidhdhi such as  1) Anima- to reduce the body to the size of an atom, 2 )Garima – expand the size of the body to a colossal size, 3) Laghuthvam – assume infinite lightness of the body, 4) Eshithvam – assume absolute Lordship, 5) Vashithvam – overpowering all, 6) Prapthi – unrestricted access in the Universe, 7) Prakamya – realization of other’s desire etc. The constant recitation of Ramanama remove the grief and sufferings of Samsara. There are four types of devotees of Lord,  1) Arththa/distressed, desolate, 2) Jijjnasu/curious, seeker of truth 3) Arththarththi/ yearn to achieve wealth, possession, richness, money, fame, family, and 4) Gnani/ enlightened one, knower of truth ‘Jeevathma is Paramathma’, knowledge of self, Prakrithi is destructible and the soul is indestructible Purusha and these four kinds of devotees are equally noble, virtuous, and sinless dear to Lord. The enlightened one chooses to engage in the constant recitation of Tharaka Manthra/Ramanama, takes shelter in the Ramanama, and they are the most beloved of the Lord. The Sri Ramanama Mahima was widely spoken in the Vedas and scriptures that could provide commendable rewards in all four Yugas of Krita Yuga, Thretha Yuga, Dwapara Yuga and Kali Yuga and especially in the Kali era which is lack of purity of mind, deeds, words. Hence, the Sri Ramanama is the one and only way to get rid of the sufferings and grief of Samsara and Samsara Chakra.

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – The significance of Nama/name and Nami/appearance/form

Chapter – 22 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – The significance of Nama/name and Nami/appearance/form

The sacred name ‘Ra Ma’ of Lord of the clan of Raghu, Raghubara serves the purpose of Umbrella on the gem-studded crown adorned, the sacred syllables ‘Ra and Ma’ serves the purpose of Master and servant to one another. The Nama/name and the Nami/ appearance are two attributes that are inseparable, hence it is meaningless to rationalize them as superior and inferior. The intellectuals say the appearance cannot exists without the name; hence appearance/form and name are equally significant, but the greatest advantage is that the mere remembrance of the name would help to perceive the form easily. Nama/name and the Nami/appearance are inseparable like Master and servant, the Nama is an Upadhi/tool to get connected to the Saguna Bhramaswaroopa Sacchidhanandha Paramathma Parambhramam, therefore the Santh Mahathma says it would be sinful to attempt to discriminate the Nama/name and Nami/appearance. Any marvelous form is recognized with its name, otherwise, it would remain unimportant and unknown to the world, hence the forms get their appreciation by their names.
