Chapter - 77– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara Kanda – Sage Kakabhusundi describes the childhood pastimes of Lord Rama

Sage Kakabhusundi passionately speaks “Oh! Garuda, the infant Rama has a deep navel and has beautiful three lines on the belly, his broad chest is adorned in various precious ornaments, his teeny-tiny fingers, nails, long arms are adorned in various ornaments, he has attractive shoulders that resemble the lion cub, he has conch shaped neck, the beauty of his lovely chin, cheeks, nose, lips are beyond description, his speeches are undistinguishable, he has lovely pairs of teeth lustrous as the moon, partially revealing through the red lips. His beautiful long eyes resemble blue lotus flower petals, capable to remove the sufferings of worldly existence, his lustrous forehead bears the symbol of vermilion and sandalwood paste, he has beautiful bow-shaped eyebrows, he is adorned in marvelous ear ornaments, his dark and curly hair lock beautifully scattered around his face, his elegant movements crawling on the gem decorated patio, his shrill and gleeful smile, unclear speeches, and beautiful glances captivated me.  Oh! Garuda, The Sacchidhanandha Swaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam personified as Rama dances to the movement of his shadow, gleefully watching his own shadow spends merrier time with me, those are beyond words. He rushes towards me with extreme joy to get hold of me, and I flutter away from him with fear, soon he will show a piece of sweet pudding to get me closer to him.”

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Uththara Kanda – Sage Kakabusundi assumes the form of crow whenever Lord Sri Hari personifies as the son of King ofKosala and continues to witness the childhood pastimes of infant Lord Rama

Chapter - 75– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara Kanda – Sage Kakabusundi assumes the form of crow whenever Lord Sri Hari personifies as the son of King of Kosala and continues to witness the childhood pastimes of infant Lord Rama

The Supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra is too kind and compassionate to his devotees like a mother to her child, although the blisters cause extreme pain to the child, the mother carefully removes the puss out of the wound and clean it to avoid further damage to the body of the child, likewise, the merciful Lord removes arrogance, pride, ignorance in his ardent devotees, Oh! Tulsidas, why do not you worship that supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra? Sage Kakabhusundi speaks “Oh! King of birds, I shall describe Rama’s gentleness and my imperviousness to you, kindly listen to me carefully. Whenever Rama manifests as the son of Kosala, in the majestic city of Ayodhya, and performs various amusements to please his devotees, saints, and Rishis, I shall assume the form of a crow in the city of Ayodhya to witness his marvelous sport. I shall be a prime witness to watch all the amusements of that merciful Lord from birth, the grand celebration at the time of birth of the son of Kosala, Sri Rama and I shall continue to stay there till the infant attains the age of five.  Oh! Garuda, the infant Rama is my beloved deity, who has the appearance of countless Manmatha, I take the opportunity to witness the marvelous form of infant Rama that appeases my eyes, Oh! Enemy of serpents, Garuda, I shall assume the form of a crow and enjoy being in the company of that beautiful infant Lord Rama /Lord Sri Hari, watching all the amusement of the infant, thereby I shall achieve the fruitfulness of my life.”

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Uththara Kanda – Lord Rama never tolerates pride in his devotees which is the root cause of grief and attachment

Chapter - 74– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara Kanda – Lord Rama never tolerates pride in his devotees which is the root cause of grief and attachment

Sage Kakabhusundi speaks “ Oh! Garuda, the ignorant Jeeva drenched in the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, and Mamakara, strongly attached to the worldly matters, richness, possession, money, wealth, fame, children, wife, companion, and relatives constantly hurled into the Thapathrya/Adhidheivik, Adhibhauthik, and Adhyathmik does not understand the greatness of Lord Sri Ramachandra. The attributeless aspect of Bhramam is easily understandable, but the same Bhramam personified as the son of Kosala, which is beyond destructible Prakrithi is not easily understandable. Oh! Garuda, even the mind of an ascetic gets bewildered listening to the various amusements of Lord Sri Ramachandra, who performed various tasks and acted like an ordinary human. Oh! King of birds, I have narrated the exploits of Lord Rama according to my intellect, I shall describe how did I fall prey to the formidable Maya of Mayapathi. Oh! Garuda, mere listing to the exploits of Lord Sri Ramachandra would provide me extreme bliss, hence I shall describe all those which provides immense delight to me, I shall tell you the truth, Rama never tolerates pride in his devotees, which is the root cause for all the grief and attachment to worldly matters. Lord Rama is compassionate and kind as a mother to her child,  the mother opens up the heat blisters and removes the puss out of it without taking notice of the pain and cries of her infant.”

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Uththara Kanda – Jeeva drenched in illusion, and ignorance would question the incarnation of Lord Sri Hari as the son of King of Kosala/Rama

Chapter - 73– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara Kanda – Jeeva drenched in illusion, and ignorance would question the incarnation of Lord Sri Hari as the son of King of Kosala/Rama

The supreme Bhramam personified as the son of Kosala for the welfare of the Universe, and reduce the burden of the earth, spread joy among the virtuous, and noble souls. He has performed various moral deeds, behaved like an ordinary human, he has performed various acts but none of them adhered to him, he is an attributeless, the all-pervasive Bhramam which is pure and has neither birth nor death. Sage Kakabusundi speaks “Oh! Garuda, the various amusements of Rama caused bewilderment to the wicked demons and spread joy among the noble souls Santh, Mahathma. The unfortunate Jeeva drenched in Maya of Mayapathi, soaked in the worldly matters, and sensual pleasures, chases after the material well-being, behaves like the person who is afflicted with yellow fever, hence whatever seen seemed yellow to them, they declare sunrise in the west, they pronounce they are firm on the ground but the world is moving while traveling on the ferry, the strange fact is that they don’t believe in the truth that they are moving not the world. Oh! King of birds, the dull-witted people drenched in the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, and Mamakara, are influenced by the Maya of Mayapathi will raise doubts about the all-pervasive Bhramam personified as the son of Kosala.”

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Uththara Kanda – There is not a single creature in the Universe free from the Maya/illusion of Mayapathi

Chapter - 72– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara Kanda – There is not a single creature in the Universe free from the Maya/illusion of Mayapathi

Sage Kakabhusundi speaks “ Oh! Garuda, Maya is the formidable army of Mayapathi/Lord Sri Ramachandra encompassed the Universe, and Anger and greed as its generals, the Hypocrisy, deceitfulness, and gossip are the champions in the army of Maya. It is inseparable from the supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra, though it’s unreal, hence I strongly admit that there is no escape from the Maya without the grace of Lord Rama. Maya persuades the living and non-living things in the Universe, and makes them dance to her tune, she dances at the mere movement of the eyebrows of the Lord Sri Ramachandra, like the stage full of various characters. Oh! Garuda, the supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra is absolute bliss, wisdom, virtue, valor, and beauty. He is all-pervasive Bhramam which is pure, unblemished, changeless, free from afflictions, has neither birth nor death, unfailing, attributeless, resides as a soul in the Jeeva. It is the source of functioning of mind, intellect, Chiththa, Ahamkara, Prana, Karma, and Gnanendhriyas. He is supreme Bhramam, indestructible Purusha, inseparable from Maya/Prakrithi that has destructible nature. He is unblemished and pure, as the Sun that never gives space for the darkness.”

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Uththara Kanda – The unconquerable Maya of Mayapathi Lord Sri Ramachandra

Chapter - 71– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Uththara Kanda – The unconquerable Maya of Mayapathi Lord Sri Ramachandra

Sage Kakabhusundi speaks “ Oh! Garuda, is there any wise, intellectual, noble soul, ascetic, a man of virtues freed from greed? Lust? Desire?Pride? Or Anger? Is there anyone who has not been smitten by the lustful shaft-like glances of young women? Who is free from the Thrigunas/Swathik, Rajasik and Thamasik nature? Who is free from arrogance and pride? Who is not swollen with the pride of youthful days? Who is freed from worldly matters, and attachment to material things such as possession, wealth, money, richness, fame, children, wife, relatives, companion, etc.? Who is not swollen with excessive pride? Who is not shaken by the grief and distress? Who is not bitten by the serpent of attachment, care, love, lust, desire? Who is in this Universe freed from the powerful Maya/delusion of Maypathi? Again, who has the firmness of mind, whose body is not consumed by lust and desire, like the wood is eaten by the moth? Whose mind is free from the desire for a virtuous progeny, wealth, and fame? All these are contributed by the unconquerable Maya of Mayapathi, likewise, there are endless impurities of mind difficult to name. Lord Bhrama and Lord Shambhu were afraid of the delusion/Maya of Mayapathi, hence what would I say about the ordinary creatures like us?”
