Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – The disparities between the ascetic and the Jeeva drenched in Ahamkara and Mamakara

Chapter – 6 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – The disparities between the ascetic and the Jeeva drenched in Ahamkara and Mamakara

I shall offer salutation to the ascetics who are the purifier of the Earth,  free from impurities of Ahamkara and Mamakara lacks interest in worldly matters of fleeting nature/destructible Prapancha, grown out of pain-causing dualities of happiness and sorrow, grief and pain, respect, and disrespect, and perceive the omnipresent Bhramam/indestructible Purusha resides as a soul in the Jeeva/Oneness-in-all. I shall offer salutation to the Vishayijeeva drenched in the worldly matters, Ahamkara and Mamakara, engage in immoral deeds, finds pleasure in causing grief to others, wicked burn with jealousy in the welfare and happiness of others, no matter whether they are companions or enemies. I shall offer salutation to the ascetic who is free from the impurities of Ahamkara and Mamakara, causes pain while leaving this world and the wicked who finds pleasure in the ill-fortune of others, causes pain while living on the Earth. The huge difference is that the ascetics resemble a lotus flower, and the wicked represent leech that causes to bleed, even though both are born of attributes and previous Karma in the unfathomable ocean of Samsara. The two categories of Jeeva yield the merits of their actions in a different manner, the ascetics are grown out of differences and dualities, achieves permanent bliss with the extreme penances and austerities, vows, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara and Shamadhamadhi symbolizes the cool rays of the full moon, is the purifier of the Earth/movable King of river Prayaga, represents the river Ganga. The Jeeva drenched in Ahamkara and Mamakara, spew venom, resemble the inauspicious river Karmanasha that takes away all the righteousness in the Kali era.

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – The salutation to Santh Mahathma and the Vishayi Jeeva who is drenched in Ahamkara and Mamakara

Chapter – 5 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – The salutation to Santh Mahathma and the Vishayi Jeeva who is drenched in Ahamkara and Mamakara

I shall prostrate before the ascetics who have no friend or enemy, favorable or unfavorable, happiness or sorrow, respect or disrespect, joy or grief, are grown far beyond the dualities of Samsara, they are impartial like the fragrance of the Jasmine flowers kept on the palm, they are free from the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha and Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, Mamakara, interest in worldly matters, hence I shall repeatedly bow down before the lotus feet of the ascetics and sincerely request like a child to shower their compassionate grace upon me to achieve  the selfless devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra.

I shall offer salutation to the Vishayijeeva/drenched in the material matters, Ahamkara and Mamakara, hostile to the innocents, finds pleasure in others trouble and ill-fortune, desolation, and get jealous of others welfare. The wicked and ignorant who spread misbelief in Veda, Scriptures, deities, trinities, etc. like the Rahu and Kethu causes an eclipse of Sun and Moon respectively. These ignorant are like the demon Sahasrabhahu who is haughty of his might achieved as a boon after several thousand years of penance, these wicked people enjoy causing miseries and grief to others with all might, their anger resembles fire, and fearless to  challenge Lord Yama, these people are like Kumbhakarna who enjoys long years of sleep and the comet which causes harm other than nothing, hence their destruction is propitious to the world. These wicked and arrogant Jeeva harm others in all possible ways, like the snow in the paddy field gets dissolved by destroying the crop. I shall offer salutation to those wicked Jeeva who is fierce as the thousand tongued serpents Adishesha, sadly, they utilize their vicious tongue to find fault in others. I shall prostrate before King Prithu who desired to have thousands of ears to listen to the glories of the Supreme Lord, sadly the wicked Jeeva enjoys listening to the ill fame and rumors as if they have possessed thousands of ears. I shall offer salutation to the wicked find fault in others as if they have possessed thousands of eyes like Lord Indhra who is the Lord of deities, has possessed thousands of eyes, and Vajrayudha as a weapon, sadly the wicked Jeeva uses thousands of eyes to find fault in others.

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – The splendor of Sadhu Sangama/the association with the Santhbrindh Mahathma

Chapter – 4 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – The splendor of Sadhu Sangama/the association with the Santhbrindh Mahathma

The fruitfulness of the rarest birth achieved as a human is the attainment of Dharma/righteousness, Arththa/wealth, Kama/desires, and Moksha/free from dualities of grief and joy, respect and disrespect, happiness and sorrow.  The association with the ascetics, Sadhu Santh Mahathma would provide the fruitfulness of life and commendable rewards of the dip in the king of holy Theertha/Prayag instantly, like the crow transformed into a Cuckoo, and the Raven into a swan.  Maharishi Narada who was born to a servant maid in his previous birth has achieved the association of the Santh Mahathma, engaged in the relentless service of them, thus attained the birth of illustrious Sage. Maharishi Balmiki who was a hunter in a previous life had the fortune to meet the Saptharishis, took shelter in the Ramanama, and achieved the birth of ‘Adhikavi’ and Ghatasambhava/Sage Agasthya who was born at the touch of Varuna, have described their lives and the transformation they have achieved with the association of the saintly people. The Jalachara/aquatic animals, Sthalachara/animals on the Earth, Nabhachara/humans whoever attained the association of ascetic has achieved an abundance of fruitfulness in their lives, they have achieved wisdom, purity, prosperity, serenity, and liberation from the repeated cycles of birth, hence the Veda and scriptures highly eulogizes the Sadhu Samagama/association with the ascetics. The attainment of Parmaraththa Thaththva/all the material matters have impermanent nature, hence the happiness derived out of the attachment to these material matters and infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya has impermanent nature too.  The Jeevathma is Paramathma, soul/Athman is eternal, changeless, free from affliction, pure, unblemished, and has neither birth nor death, hence the attachment to the imperishable Paramathma Parambhramam is blissful. The achievement of Paramarththa Thaththva is unattainable without the association of the Santhbrindh Mahathmas, and the achievement of the association with the ascetics is impractical without the grace of the Supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra. The association with the Santh Mahathma is the root of bliss elevates the Jeeva from the grief and sufferings of worldly existence caused by the ignorance and illusion, it makes the life of the Sadhaka fruitful with the achievement of contentment and bliss/free from the sufferings of dualities. It is the same as the association of the deceitful and wicked changes the life of a Jeeva, the association with these noble souls transforms the ignorant Jeeva into pious and fortunate. The Jeeva who has achieved the purity and serenity of the mind with the association of these noble souls, will not lose their nobleness even if they fall into the wicked association, they would keep upright the virtues like the serpent hold the gem on its forehead. The benefits of ‘Sadhu Santh Samagama’ was highly eulogized by illustrious Rishis and Sages, like Maharishi Valmiki, Lord Bhrama, Vishnu, and Shiva, hence I have little to describe it.  Although I am an unworthy Jeeva, I shall make fullest efforts to describe the glories of the association of Sadhu Santh Mahathma, it would be like the street vendor speaking about the precious gems.

Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bala Kanda – The benefits of the association of the Sadhu Santh Mahathma which represents movable Prayaga/King of Theertha

Chapter – 3 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Chaupai – 1 - The benefits of the association of the Sadhu Santh Mahathma which represents movable Prayaga/King of Theertha

The Sadhaka who has strived to achieve Sidhdhanjjana/the Kajol of wisdom, with the practice of Bhakti, Gnana, Vairagya, perceives the omnipresent supreme Bhramam/Oneness-in-all finds the treasure on the hill-top, dense wood, and all over the Earth, remains free from afflictions, trepidation, and fear of death. The dust particles from the lotus feet of the preceptor are the Kajol of wisdom, ambrosia which cures the darkness of ignorance, I have applied that Sidhdhanjjana on my eyes and got rid of the blindness caused by the illusion, Mayaroopi Samsara, and began to narrate the glorious legend of Lord Sri Rama, that released me from the interest in the worldly matters, the chase for the material matters and bodily pleasure/Prakrithi of fleeting nature and thereby I have got rid of sufferings and grief of worldly existence. I shall prostrate before the twice-born/Bhramans who are the Gods on the Earth/Bhudhevatha, who dispel the ignorance born out of lack of Bhakti/devotion, Gnana/ wisdom, and Vairagya/renunciation. I shall prostrate before the Sadhu Santh Mahathma who is the abode of mercy, virtues and compassion, they are free from attachments to worldly matters, sinless, free from grief and sufferings. The assemblage of these Sadhu Santh Mahathmas is described as the movable Prayaga/the King of Theerthas, the purifier of the Earth, the Triveni/confluence of Devanadhi Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswathi. The sacred river Yamuna who is the daughter of Lord Surya removes the sins of the worshiper, and the legend of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva multiplies the devoutness, and showers an abundance of bliss and auspiciousness. The firm belief and faith represent the auspicious Banyan tree, and the performance of righteousness symbolizes the sacred Prayaga. The movable Prayaga/gatherings of the Santh Mahathma Sadhus are easily accessible, and it removes ignorance, illusion caused the grief and sufferings of Samsara of the Jeeva who have taken shelter in them. The association of the Sadhu Santh Mahatmas is beyond description, it is the King of holy Theertha/Prayag, provides commendable rewards and nearness to supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra.

Chapter – 3 – Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Bala Kanda – Chaupai - 1– The preceptor is none other than Lord Hari who removes the ignorance and illusion of Samsara

I shall prostrate before Goddess Vani/Goddess of speech, grammar, vocabulary, Chandhass, poetic skills, and Lord Vinayaka is the remover of obstacles.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Bhavani and Lord Shankara, who symbolizes the dedication and pure devotion/Shraddha Bhakti respectively, without which it is impossible to perceive the supreme Bhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva/Oneness-in-all. I shall prostrate before the supreme Preceptor who is none other than Lord Shankara, who is adorned in the crescent moon on the reddish-brown matted hair locks, impart the knowledge of Paramarththa Thaththva/ Prakrithi is destructible, and the Athman is indestructible Purusha/Paramathma. I shall prostrate before the Kapeeshwara Lord Hanuman and Kavishwara /Maharishi Valmiki, who takes immense pleasure in singing the praise of Lord Seetha Rama, and resides in the dense wood of devotion to Lord Seetha Rama.   I shall prostrate before Goddess Sitha who is the beloved consort of Lord Rama, she is creator, preserver, and destroyer of the Universe and its living beings, she is the destroyer of sufferings of Samsara, and provider of an abundance of auspicious to her worshiper. I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Hari who has incarnated as Lord Sri Ramachandra, he is the Lord of Mayapathi, worshiped by Lord Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, deities, demons and Munigana. Whoever worships Lord Sri Seetharama would get rid of the illusion/ignorance of ‘rope mistaken as serpent causes trepidation’, Maya of the Samsara/Jagath Mithya Bhrama Sathyam. ‘Sri Ramacharitha Manas’ was composed by Sri Tulsidas Maharaj eulogizes the splendor of Lord Raghunath, is the essence of Shastra, Nigama Agama, Purana.

Chaupai – 1

I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Ganesha who is the leader of Ganas of Lord Shiva, he is the source of success in endeavors and remover of the evilness of Kali era, he has an attractive face resembles an elephant, is the essence of wisdom and virtues, I shall sincerely pray to Lord Ganesha to shower compassionate grace upon us. He is the Lord of distressed Jeeva whose grace is sufficient to transform the Jeeva who have no speaking ability to achieve excellence in speech, and the physically challenged climb up the mountain easily. I shall contemplate upon the supreme Lord Hari who reclines on the Anantha in the Ksheerasagara, he has marvelous dark cloud complexioned limbs, his beautiful eyes have the resemblance to red lotus flower petals. I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Mahadeva along with Goddess Sri Parvathi who is the abode of compassion and mercy, he has the complexion of camphor, jasmine flowers, and the luster of the moon, kindly shower compassionate grace on us. I shall prostrate before the lotus feet of the preceptor who is an ocean of mercy, none other than Supreme Lord Hari enlightens the Jeeva with the knowledge of Paramarththa Thaththva, and thereby removes the ignorance and illusion, like the radiance of the sun removes the darkness.

I shall offer humble salutation at the lotus feet of the preceptor, who is the ocean of mercy, effulgent, kind, and compassionate to Jeeva. He resembles the reservoir of the life-giving herb, destroys the interest in the worldly matters and Prapancha of impermanent nature, with the knowledge of destructible Prakrithi and indestructible Purusha/Paramathma, to the Jeeva who have taken shelter at his lotus feet. The fortunate ones are whose body is smeared in the sacred ashes, resembles Lord Shiva, and remain in supreme bliss, and the auspicious mark on the forehead attracts the host of virtues. The grace of the preceptor removes the dirt/impurities of the mind, like the mirror, gets cleansed with a magical touch. The sparkling feet' nails resemble gem, of the preceptor would remove the darkness of ignorance, impurities and enhances the wisdom/oneness-in all, in the Jeeva who have taken shelter at his lotus feet. The luster from the feet of the preceptor would remove the ignorance and impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, attachment to material matters, and infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya, in the Mithyaroopi Samsara.  The Jeeva who have taken shelter at the lotus feet of the preceptor is highly fortunate, get rid of sufferings and grief of worldly existence, and the hidden gem like the glorious legends of Lord Sri Ramachandra would come into the light.
