Chapter – 248– Sri Ramacharitha Manas – Ayodhya
Kanda– Sage Vashishta eulogizes the real nature of Supreme Bhramam personified as Rama
Bharatha went to meet Sage Vashishta,
prostrated before him, and took a seat after obtaining permission from him.
There was a large member of the assembly, councilors, ministers, Bhramins, and
prominent people of Ayodhya already seated before the Sage. The illustrious
Sage Vashishta began to speak “Oh! Noble souls, the people of Ayodhya,
prominent members of the assembly, listen to me carefully, Bharatha is wise,
righteous, and virtuous, he is the delight of the solar race, and Rama is the heir
to the throne, King of Ayodhya, the righteousness personified, he is the Lord
of Lords. Rama is true to his words, he is the ideal Purusha who is eulogized
by Veda and scriptures, sincerely follows the moral values, he is the source of
auspiciousness and welfare to the world. He is obedient to his preceptors and parents;
he is the destroyer of wicked and most favorable to deities and noble souls.
Rama is the essence of virtues, discipline, truth, compassion, love, and
piousness. The supreme Bhramam personified as Rama is the essence of Lord
Bhrama, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, Surya, Chandra, Dhikdhevathas, and inseparable from his female counterpart
Maya, he resides as a soul in the Jeeva, he represents Karma/deeds, Time,
Adhishesha, rulers of Earth, he is the essence of Yoga and fruitful results of
Yoga, he is omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, he is Sarbagya eulogized by
Veda and scriptures, he is the supreme authority.”
