grandfather of Ravana
The battle between the Vanaras and demons
continued for a while, some of the demons were brutally wounded, and some of
them died, and some of them were flown from the battlefield and taken shelter in
the caves, the Vanaras and bears gave out a boisterous roar at them. The Vanaras
returned to their shelter places in the camp of Lord Sri Ramachandra when it
was too dark, the Vanaras and bears got relived from the exhaustion immediately
at the grace of the Lord. Ravana called out for an emergency meeting with the
ministers to inform the army set out to the Mount Suvela was destroyed completely
by the Vanaras, hence he sought the opinion of Ministers to find out an option
to tackle the menace of enemies. There was an elderly demon Malyavan, who is
maternal grandfather, eminent counselor of Ravana spoke words of wisdom “Oh!
Dear son, listen to my words, ever since you have abducted Devi Sita and
brought her to Lanka, we are witnessing several inauspicious omens, your
animosity against the supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra who is the essence of
virtues, valor, and wisdom, eulogized by Vedas and scriptures, has taken away
the peace and happiness in the family.”
