Lanka Kanda – Angadha advises Ravana to stop gibberish talks and take shelter
at the feet of Lord Raghu
Angadha speaks “Oh! Fool, moth dies in the
fire due to their infatuation, and the donkeys carry loads on their back
cannot be termed as heroes, listen to me, leave your arrogance and pride, I haven’t
come to make a peace treaty with you, I am a messenger of Lord Sri
Ramachandra, it was the compassionate Lord advised to think over your wicked deeds,
and get rid of your anxiousness. The lions do not earn fame by killing Jackal,
remember this word of Lord Raghu, and leave your animosity against him that’s
favorable for your entire clan. Oh! Wicked, I remember the saying of Lord Raghu
that’s why I spare you for your nonsense talks, otherwise I would have smacked
your face and taken back Devi Sita safely to Ragu. Oh! Dhashanan, I have
perfectly measured your might when you have abducted Jagathjanani Paramba Bhagavathi
Devi Sita while Lord Sri Ramachandra was away from her, you are Lord of demons,
I am a messenger and sincere servant of Lord Raghu, If I was not afraid of overruling
the advice of Lord of Raghu, I would have given befitting answer for your misconduct.”
