Lanka Kanda – Angadha describe the virtues and valor of Lord Sri Ramachandra
Angadha spoke “Oh! Fool, do you think the
son of Lord Vayu, Hanuman is a mere Vanara who crushed your pride and an army of
demons, destroyed your pleasure gardens, killed your son, and set fire to your
city of Lanka and slipped off out of your hands unharmed? Oh! Dhashanan, listen
to me carefully, leave your arrogance, and worship Lord of Raghu, if you turned
against that Lord Rama, you can’t save yourself even from Lord Bhrama or Lord
Shambhu. Oh! Fool, do not brag in vain, if you keep animosity against that Lord
Rama, you will definitely get chopped off all your heads with the powerful
arrows of that Lord in the battlefield, and the Vanaras and bears in the field
would play with your bodiless heads like the flower balls. If Rama gets enraged,
none could withstand on the battlefield, you can’t survive in the shower of
powerful arrows of the Lord, hence get rid of hostility towards that supreme
Lord Sri Ramachandra and worship him.” Ravana could not control his rage after
listening to the words that were like ghee added to the fire.
